Apartando un poco el acto bochornoso sucedido en las afueras del nuevo yankee stadium entre fanáticos, luego de una mini serie de los Mets en contra de los Yankees, creo hay que rescatar más lo deportivo sobre lo que pueda suceder de manera externa, si bien el espectador es el que paga por un boleto para lograr entrar al estadio, sin lo que sucede en el terreno de juego, nada tendría sentido. Hay muchas cosas lindas que pienso se están dejando de apreciar por parte del aficionado, y el furor del momento no les deja verlas con claridad.

Lo que quiero resaltar, es que las personas, en estos tiempos, solamente van a un estadio a consumir, dejando un poco a un lado la verdadera esencia del juego o de la competencia deportiva entre equipos. Aunque esto es simplemente un partido de béisbol, disfrutarlo es lo apropiado, es el estar sentado viendo cómo se desarrolla una partida de pelota, y colocar la atención a las estrategias, ver que los peloteros registren estadísticas interesantes, que más que eso, es un motivo para celebrar, sin caer en lo fanático.

Unos meses atrás, en la serie del caribe llevada a cabo en la ciudad de Miami, le realizaron una entrevista al segunda base puertorriqueño ya retirado y miembro del salón de la fama Roberto Alomar, y él respondía a una de las preguntas, que el fanático y la prensa, eran los que ponían la rivalidad, más ellos solamente jugaban el juego y lo disfrutaban, nada más parecido a lo que está haciendo en la actualidad su compatriota y campo corto de Los Mets de Nueva York Francisco Lindor, cuya actuaciones reflejan a una persona que se siente cómoda.

Aún queda mucha temporada en la MLB, y "Paquito" tiene proyecciones de llegar a los 40 jonrones y alcanzar las 40 bases robadas antes que termine la misma, esto, lo colocaría en un escalón mucho más alto que el de Alomar, superándolo por mucho y colocándolo en la categoría de Alex Rodríguez, hablar de ese nombre entre peloteros es de suma valía, y más allá de lo que pudo o no haber pasado con él, para batear 40-40 en las grandes ligas hay que ponerle, en esa época y en esta de 2024, y Paquito, Francisco Lindor sin temor a equivocarme lo conseguirá en esta campaña.
