Nick Struck took his first L of the campaign after surrendering four runs (three earned) to the caraqueño lineup. With the win, Caracas clears the lane to climb into fourth place, tying up with Cardenales and Bravos, while the Tigres slipped a game and a half behind the Águilas, who still rule the top of the standings.

Seven Caribes arms kept the island bats in check, holding them to three runs and eight knocks. The defense also shut down two comeback attempts with twin killings that killed off any shot at a rally. The Bravos keep struggling to deliver the clutch hit, matching the Caribes in base knocks but failing to cash in ribbies. The orientales stay locked in third place, two and a half back from the rooftop, while the Bravos de Margarita hang on to fourth, tied up with Cardenales and Leones. Tiburones–Águilas, Navegantes–Cardenales, Bravos–Caribes and Tigres–Leones all run it back tonight under the lights at 7:00 p.m.
