Acá estamos nuevamente, otro fin de semana más en la monotonía absoluta de lo que significa ver un gran premio de la Fórmula 1. Pareciera un deja vu o que estoy repitiendo algo que escribí semanas atrás pero no y es que la quinta carrera del calendario se efectuó en tierras asiáticas, más específicamente en China, después de 5 años, si es que mi mente no me traiciona. Uno esperaría que a medida que van pasando las semanas los equipos descubran cuales son los fallos y mejorarlos en aras de dar un mejor espectáculo y obviamente un desempeño más óptimo pero eso no se está viendo, lo que estamos presenciando es un estancamiento brutal de los casi 10 equipos. Red Bull porque no sabría que les falta por mejorar y el resto que no son capaces ni siquiera de hacer una ligera sombra al gigante austríaco.

Pero como ya mencioné eso no es lo preocupante, lo trágico es que ni el propio compañero de Verstappen, el Checo Pérez, quien en teoría tiene el mismo carro que el neerlandés, pudo acercársele este fin de semana. Si eso pasa entre ellos, ¿qué quedará para el resto? - pues lo visto, diferencias de 14 segundos con las segundas posiciones que el día de ayer le correspondió a Lando Norris.

Y todo esto pasó en una carrera donde hubo VSC y dos SC, que se supone que son incidentes que ayudan a "equilibrar" un poco los tiempos y las distancias para hacer más pareja la competición. Con todo y eso el piloto líder de Red Bull sacó semejante diferencia, pareciera que no hay nada que hacer más allá de ligar de que ocurra algún desperfecto con su RB20 que lo deje fuera de las pistas porque compitiendo en igualdad de condiciones no hay manera de alcanzar su ritmo y nivel. Y es que si vieron la carrera se darán cuenta que fue aburrida hasta más no poder, casi 10 vueltas perdidas entre los Safety Car que no le dieron nada al espectador.

Sargeant sigue siendo un lastre para Williams, quinta carrera y no ha hecho nada en pro del equipo, de las decisiones más raras que he visto ha sido su continuidad en la F1 y que sorprendentemente, o no, Alpine sigue sin puntuar. Esto es lo más "relevante" en la parte baja de la tabla, ahora vamos con los de un poco más arriba.

La Mercedes se fue de China siendo el cuarto equipo aún, algo que estoy seguro no tiene contento a nadie en ese equipo. Es extraño porque Hamilton se vio muy bien en la carrera Sprint quedando de segundo pero después cambiaron el seteo del carro del británico y para la carrera sale de decimoctavo, un paso atrás absurdo y sin sentido alguno. Aston Martin son otros que no terminan de cuajar, supuestamente fueron con mejoras a China y no se vieron, Alonso tuvo destellos en la propia carrera llegando a superar a Pérez y ponerse segundo pero después el monoplaza le comenzó a pasar factura y no aguantó el ritmo, terminó séptimo. Ferrari no tuvo un buen fin de semana tampoco, Sainz no se vio fino y Leclerc si fue un poco más constante, aún así se fueron sin podio cosa que estoy seguro no estaba en los planes viendo lo de carreras pasadas.

Y los McLaren para mi están siendo muy inconstantes, Norris terminó segundo pero Piastri octavo, siempre están punteando que es lo importante pero no terminan de dar el paso diferenciador. En fin y como ven, esta carrera fue una radiografía de lo que hemos visto a lo largo de la temporada. Red Bull en lo más alto, seguido de Ferrari y de terceros los McLaren. Y en la tabla de pilotos pues Verstappen cada vez más solo en lo alto perseguido por Pérez con Leclerc, Sainz y Norris muy cerca del mexicano. Como la esperanza es lo último que se pierde esperemos que en dos semana, en Miami, veamos algo distinto y tengamos competencia y emoción de verdad y no una obra repetida que ya aburre hasta al más fanático de todos.

Concuerdo contigo, un año más de cero competitividad en la F1. El pasado fin de semana en Shanghai se vieron cosas interesantes, pensé que se darían sorpresas, pero nada que ver, con pista seca el RedBull intratable. Me quedó con la salvada de Fernando Alonso, realmente impresionante. Para mí el piloto de la carrera el español de Aston Martin, buena clasificación pero se confirma que su auto no tiene ritmo de carrera.

Lo que fue la carrera Sprint daba para que pasaran cosas pero que va, más de lo mismo; a veces me la pienso dos veces antes de ver la carrera. Y si, lo de Alonso es impresionante con el Aston Martin, está sacando oro con ese carro mientras que el compañero está jugando a los carritos chocones.

Sabes a veces yo pienso no ver la siguiente carrera cada vez que se anuncia porque siempre pienso que es verstappen el que va a ganar así que no vale la pena verlo pero me gana la curiosidad y siempre termino emocionándome con cada vuelta y con cada sorpresa que estas carreras nos dejan

Dígame está de China que fue a las 3am, trasnocharse para ver lo mismo de las últimas temporadas? - al final uno lo piensa pero se termina viendo igual.
Al final cada carrera tiene sus detalles e incidencias que la hacen únicas pero al final, para mí, terminan cayendo en la monotonía absoluta.
