En el fútbol no hay nada escrito, esta es una máxima que se puede aplicar a cualquier deporte pero viendo lo visto en estos partidos de vuelta de cuartos de final la verdad es que es una frase con un peso y sentido enorme. Basicamente eso pasa porque dar por sentado las cosas puede ser un error garrafal y bajo mi opinión eso fue algo que también se vio. En lo personal yo no esperaba que el Bayern ni el PSG accedieran a las semifinales, el primero porque la temporada que están teniendo es tétrica y el segundo porque tienen la etiqueta o estigma de ser un club pequeño en Europa. La realidad es que ambos pasaron y que el fútbol volvió a dar una lección de lo impredecible y espectacular que puede ser.

La serie estaba 3-2 a favor de los blaugranas y con la "ventaja" de que jugaban en casa, todo parecía estar encaminado a una nueva semifinal después 4-5 años. Comenzaba aquel encuentro y todo estaba igualado quizás tirando un poco más hacia el dominio del Barca, fue tanto así que llegó el primer gol en las botas de Raphinha y la ilusión culé era grande. Pero llegó la catástrofe en forma de tarjeta roja y es que Araujo se hizo expulsar con un penal, para mi bastante claro, lo que al final descompensó por completo a los dirigidos por Xavi. ¿Por una expulsión perdieron? - aseverar eso es arriesgado pero si que es verdad que influyó bastante en la derrota.

Nadie nos puede decir que el PSG no hubiese buscado la victoria con los once del Barcelona completos, es verdad que en igualdad de condiciones parecía complicado, pero era algo que podía suceder. Los franceses no fueron más que los culés, ni en la ida ni en la primera media hora de juego pero parte del deporte es aprovechar las ventajas que te da el juego. Xavi también se hace expulsar en un arrebato de un niño de 12 años cosa que para mi es muy cuestionable porque dada la situación del equipo es cuando más serenidad y cabeza fría por parte del técnico tiene que haber. En fin, Dembelé disfrutó mucho su vuelta a Barcelona, lleva 3 goles en la temporada apenas y dos de ellos se los hizo a su ex equipo.

Viendo el rival del PSG y aunque no sea de mis favoritos es muy factible que accedan a la final, ciertamente el Dortmund le hizo una gran eliminatoria al Atlético de Madrid, pero acá es cuando un Mbappé, Dembelé y compañía tienen que demostrar que tanto quieren la tan ansiada Champions para el club de París. Una semifinal muy aburrida para mi pero es lo que hay.
Barcelona had everything they needed to go on but they were left out of the competition due to some punctual mistakes. For me this is surprising, I think few people saw Luis Enrique's team in the semis but there they are, playing a little showy soccer and perhaps one of the least liked. Seeing PSG's opponent and although it is not one of my favorites, it is very likely that they will reach the final, certainly Dortmund did a great elimination against Atletico Madrid, but here is when Mbappé, Dembele and company have to prove how much they want the long-awaited Champions League for the Paris club. A very boring semifinal for me but it is what it is.

El Manchester City vs el Real Madrid fue una eliminatoria en donde quedó muy claro que no importa el cómo juegues sino el cómo sea capaz de responder en los momentos claves. El encuentro de ayer, estadísticamente hablando, fue una aplanadora inglesa en todas sus formas, parecía que el Madrid estuviera jugando con 9 jugadores y todos ellos metidos en el área rival casi 150 minutos de partido. Hacía rato que no veía a los dirigidos por Ancelotti ser superados tan ampliamente, estaban ahogados y sin capacidad de salida alguna. ¿Esa fue la táctica que quiso usar el italiano? - no lo creo porque la necesidad de goles era mutua, el tema es que la plantilla del City es una cosa abismal.

Hasta los grandes fallan sino pregúntenle a Modric. En fin, muy honestamente espero una final entre el PSG - Madrid. El nivel de morbo y tensión que hay entre esos dos clubes es grande por todo el tema de Mbappé. ¿Sorpresivo por lo del Madrid? - para nada, puro ADN blanco. Pero, ¿saben para mi que si fue un balde de agua fría? - lo del Arsenal. La capacidad de tirar por la borda una buena temporada en las últimas semanas es una locura.
