Afaik, there is no interest on hive in savings.
Hive is meant to be traded, or powered up.
Powered up it loses less to the inflation.
In savings it is diluted at whatever the current interest rate is, that decreases each block and is around 8.5%.
When trading, you should make enough to cover the loss to inflation.
