Hive Talks: Beyond Blogging [A Virtual Gathering & Learning Session]-October 28, 2021

in Loving HIVE ❤2 years ago

HIVE TALKSBEYOND BLOGGING.gif

This last Saturday of the month, I will not miss the opportunity to share what I experienced in our virtual gathering and learning session with Bisdak from Cebu, Philippines. My Hive account is at 3 years of age but I wasn't consistent and active before that's why I missed a lot of good things here in the community. I could still recall about 3-4 months ago, I commented to @ybanezkim26 post about their virtual meet-ups with other Cebuanos or Cebuanas. Because of my lack of confidence, I wasn't able to attend since I am still adjusting and absorbing all the interactions I faced off. But lately, I saw a post about inviting Bisaya speakers for "Hive Talks: Beyond blogging" even though I am in the stage of nervousness because it's going to be my first time to meet them and see their beautiful faces I decided to join and tried my best to free that night just for them.

I am grateful to @indayclara, @romeskie, and @tpkidkai for their quick response on how I can join, communicate with them personally(indayclara), and encourage me to be part of it. For those who have plans in the future to join, it will not be difficult for you to attend because clear instructions will be given. In my case, I fill in the google form for confirmation and I received updates from @glecerioberto who is very approachable to communicate with.

These amazing people above were our speakers of the night. Now, give me the chance to say THANK YOU.

Thank you @thegaillery for sparing your time with us. You were able to show us what you've got and I love it because you don't stick into 4 corners but you make a door to open a new piece of information. I only heard the word Cryptocurrency with my friends but that night, I gained a deeper understanding of that term and its function.

Thank you @glecerioberto for sharing your ideas. The way you deliver the topic was like a feeling of never letting the cup spill yet pouring it into another cup. Meaning, your learnings were passed to other people and just like me an innocent mind who don't have any idea about Blockchain.

In addition to that, I salute you for hosting an educative and fun game for us. You tried to create something related to Hive and that's what I like because I am learning from you. Yesterday, upon reading my notifications, I saw the prize I won during the game. Thank you and to the rest of the sponsors at that event.

Thank you @indayclara for being energetic, flexible, and accomodating in our virtual as our host for the night. You put smiles on everyone and it's good to see your positive vibes. We need a woman like you who can motivate us just the way you did last time. I'll grab the opportunity as well to say thank you for these photos taken by you. Without it, life in Hive can't be meaningful because we need photos not only for proof but it creates a good memory.

Thank you @ybanezkim26 for never-ending support to every individual. You were able to clarify things out and never hesitate to answer the questions especially me who have less knowledge and more things to explore. I am hoping for more interactions with you and others as well.

Thank you @manualbot for delivering your mastery in Crypto Trading. I was not able to ask questions on your part because the terminologies I learned were still new to me. I have a Binance account but I don't know yet how to use the icons or functions of each one. I think your continuous support in the community will help me and the rest to fully understand how it runs and how it can change our lives.

Thank you @anneporter for opening your arms to help especially those artists when it comes to Digital Art and so on. It helped me to realize that doing art can truly save us not just as our escape from stress but to earn from it. I would like to say that I am proud of your achievements and you deserve a pat on your shoulders. Your success is Cebuanos success too.

These were the topics discussed in the Virtual Gathering and Learning session

I will give 5 expectations of the event and let us see if most or some of these were present in the event.

  1. There will be more participants to attend since the highlighted topics are interesting and there are more curious minds who love to engage themselves on that specific event.

  2. I will meet experts in their respective fields of mastery who willingly share their thoughts and strategies.

  3. I am expecting a more silent reaction on my part. Honestly, I don't have a broad knowledge about Cryptocurrency and I should expect to meet new vocabulary or terminologies I was not used to encountering before.

  4. There will be questions and answer to see how far the attendees fully understood the discussion.

  5. I am sure that the event will end to a fruitful one. A full of learnings that I can bring for the rest of my life.

The event turned out to be successful because I left with the knowledge gained. It was full of motivations about financial literacy which I badly need because I am not so good at handling expenses. To be surrounded by these skillful people is a good one because they will help me to grow and see things clearer for my future. It's full of gratefulness to be part of it because it brings back my confidence.

There are many to mention about what I learned from them but this time I will go to the other side.

  • I learned that Filipinos are truly gifted with intelligence and skills. I was amazed how we have these kinds of people in the community who are so dedicated to their specialty. I found out there are Filipinos who are active in all the Hive communities and part of the curating team, people who conducted their own podcast, and Cebuana who is part of(CURATE-NFT marketplace) who offers low fee transactions.

  • I learned through UNITY we will be connected as one. I appreciate those people behind this event who planned everything to reach out Filipinos and witness how functional this virtual is.

I would like to recommend proper tagging and mark-ups workshop or seminar. This is more applicable for the newbies or newly onboard and lastly if you can invite someone internationally who can share their experiences and approaches in the Hive community.

I have to end this by saying Congratulations and Thank you to everyone especially those who were present at the event. I am hoping for more virtuals in the future. Maayong Udto!

I have been joining Hive for 2 months and Cryptocurrency is still new to me. I haven't had time to learn about it, so good you had a chance to hear it from your Team. I wish our Hive vietnam could do something similar to Team Cebu one day. You are absolutely right, it is beyond blogging. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us @missdonna.

Congratualtions @indayclara @ybanezkim26 and Team Cebu for a success virtual meet-up.

Hi, just now I followed you in your Hive account. I am happy to meet another friend here. I am wishing for the best in the Hive Vietnam Team to highlight what you are looking for most especially in Cryptocurrency and I believe it come soon. Nice to know you @dora381

Me too, nice to "meet" you here.

Hello @missdonna! Thank you for your insights from our recent virtual Hive webinar: HIVE TALKS: BEYOND BLOGGING.

We are also thankful for your presence because we are doing this for everyone's benefit. Also, your words mean a lot since we strive to make our meetups (in person or virtual) a place where people can learn, grow and add value to HIVE.

I would like to recommend proper tagging and mark-ups workshop or seminar. This is more applicable for the newbies or newly onboard and lastly if you can invite someone internationally who can share their experiences and approaches in the Hive community.

We shall take heed of your recommendation although inviting an international speaker has been at the back of my mind because we even need more handsome faces during our meetups. 😂 kidding aside, I'm not sure when will be the next meetup but for now you may check this blog by @ybanezkim26 for the Formatting techniques.

Oh, Thank you for recommending sir Kim's post. Happy to know about it. Finally, I can try some. Enjoy your weekend miss @indayclara.

It was such a great experience! It's my first time and still a newbie in HIVE. Have yet to post things here too. But that hive talk helped a lot. I somewhat learned the basics but still need further research. Hehe, @missdonna I hope to have an interaction with you soon. Thank you for the mention. Also Cebuana here 😊
