Today is the big date for the Spanish-speaking community, in the great Meet Up that @eddiespino, @enrique89, @victoriabsb and @ilazramusic have been kind enough to prepare.
After a first experience that took place in late December, with an extraordinary balance product of a massive feedback from users, communities and whales, a new event is proposed to be part of the celebration of the first anniversary of Hive as an independent and free platform.
For this purpose, from 5:00 pm (UTC -4), in the Discord server of Hive Meet Up English will be open the channel where the presentations will be made by the invited communities, as well as the whales that will also present their projects.
I am honored to have been one of those selected to present the @la-colmena project, as well as the Spanish literature community Literatos(@es-literatos) and the music community Music community (@music-community).
I want to take this opportunity and leave some thoughts and reflections on my vision of the Hive platform, one year after its birth.
Hoy es la gran cita de la comunidad de habla hispana, en el gran Meet Up que han tenido a bien preparar entre @eddiespino, @enrique89, @victoriabsb e @ilazramusic.
Luego de una primera experiencia que se llevó a cabo a finales de diciembre, con un saldo extraordinario producto de una respuesta masiva de usuarios, comunidades y ballenas, se plantea un nuevo evento con miras a que sea parte de la celebración del primer aniversario de Hive como plataforma independiente y libre.
Para tal fin, a partir de las 5:00 pm (UTC -4), en el servidor de Discord de Hive Meet Up Español estará abierto el canal donde se realizarán las exposiciones por parte de las comunidades invitadas, así como las ballenas que presentarán también sus proyectos.
Yo tengo el honor de haber sido uno de los seleccionados para presentar el proyecto de @la-colmena, así como las comunidades de literatura en español Literatos (@es-literatos) y la comunidad de música Music community (@music-community).
Quiero aprovechar esta ocasión y dejar algunas ideas y reflexiones sobre mi visión de la plataforma Hive, a un año de su nacimiento.
Balance
If it is a question of evaluating, I am convinced that the balance is favorable. This has been a year of ups and downs and of learning for everyone. But there is no doubt that we have made positive progress in establishing a project, which many had hoped would not work. Fortunately many of those who had that expectation have been losing faith in those other projects that they encouraged, as they see that Hive is maturing and correcting the flaws.
Although problems still persist, we see the search for solutions and progress in the technological field. We are also pleased to see the development of the different Apps developed on this blockchain.
Thinking about the Spanish-speaking community, we could say that it lacks a greater incorporation of this community to the development of applications and programs, which is still mainly the field of the English-speaking community.
We have been able to appreciate a greater commitment on the part of this community, which would allow it to play a much more important role in the future, since the presence of Spanish-speaking users is of enormous importance due to the large number of them.
Balance
Si de hacer un balance se trata, estoy convencido de que el saldo es favorable. Este ha sido un año de altibajos y de aprendizaje para todos. Pero no cabe duda de que hemos avanzado positivamente en ir asentando un proyecto, el cual muchos esperaban que no funcionara. Afortunadamente muchos de los que tenían esa expectativa han ido perdiendo la fe en esos otros proyectos que ellos alentaban, mientras ven que Hive va madurando y corrigiendo las fallas.
A pesar de que siguen persistiendo problemas, se percibe la búsqueda de soluciones y un avance en el campo tecnológico. Así mismo vemos con agrado el desarrollo que están teniendo las distintas Apps desarrolladas sobre esta cadena de bloques.
Pensando en la comunidad de habla hispana, podríamos decir que falta una mayor incorporación de esta al desarrollo de aplicaciones y programas, lo cual sigue siendo campo mayoritario de la comunidad de habla inglesa.
Hemos podido apreciar un mayor compromiso de parte de esta comunidad, lo que le permitiría a futuro tener un rol mucho más importante, ya que la presencia de usuarios de habla hispana es de enorme importancia por el número tan alto de los mismos.
Aspects to be developed
An important progress that has been made is the reduction to a minimum of problems of plagiarism of content and its detection is usually done promptly, which has led to rectification by the offenders or the abandonment of the platform.
Quality content has grown and that is reason to celebrate.
I would like to call attention to an activity that is very useful, such as challenges, because they become ways to encourage authors to explore new terrain and help those who have less facilities to create content, to break barriers and dare to new creative experiences. However, we can see many challenges that, although they fulfill the purpose of giving us topics to write about, their contents are not valuable contributions, neither for the author, nor for the platform. Many times we see high quality writers, born content creators, publishing 30 days of content without value, just to follow some challenges that do not contribute neither in knowledge nor in general interest.
The challenges must continue, but they should not forget that the goal is the creation of original and "quality" content, which make a positive contribution.
The presence in search engines
The appearance of content published on the blockchain, in Google searches and other search engines, is becoming more and more present every day. This is mainly due to the implementation, through the codes that generate the pages, that is, thanks to the way the Hive pages are programmed, their algorithms. But we can contribute much more through interesting content and the different practices that are used in search engine optimization or SEO.
I think it is a task that all members of the communities must assume, to contribute with this teaching, which in brief words can be summarized as: titles that clearly express the content, the proper use of subtitles, the use of keywords, also the use of tags that link the content, the links that have a dual function to relate our texts with other similar ones, just to mention some of the ways to "help" search engines to find our content.
Bringing personalities to Hive
This is a topic that has been touched on many times, but can be approached in many ways. So far, the need to attract inluencers has always been raised, something that is still valid. But I think that an interesting possibility of approach is to offer spaces to those personalities that we want to have here. Be it through interviews, invitations to events. So that the perception is not that we are selling them something, or that we need them here, but that they see that there is an enormous potential for them to bring their content here. In this sense, the thematic communities and the role they play in Hive today are fundamental.
But, although it may be easy to bring them closer, it is important that they perceive the receptivity. If we attract the attention of great personalities to our spaces or authors, they must feel the commitment that exists in Hive and see the potential that exists here. That is what can make it attractive to any of them.
Well, I have already extended myself a lot for this occasion. The idea was just to leave some reflections, regarding the anniversary and the great meeting of the Spanish-speaking community. So I say goodbye here, hoping to see you today 20th and tomorrow 21st at the Hive Meet Up Español.

Aspectos a desarrollar
Un avance importante que ha habido es la disminución al mínimo de problemas de plagio de contenido y su detección suele realizarse con prontitud, lo que ha llevado a la rectificación por parte de los infractores o al abandono de la plataforma.
El contenido de calidad ha crecido y eso es razón para celebrar.
Yo quisiera hacer un llamado de atención frente a una actividad que es muy útil, como lo son los retos, pues estos se convierten en formas de impulsar a los autores a explorar nuevos terrenos y ayuda a aquellos que tienen menos facilidades de creación de contenido, a romper barreras y atreverse a nuevas experiencias creativas. Sin embargo, se pueden ver muchos retos que, aunque cumplen con la propuesta de darnos temas para escribir, sus contenidos no son aportes de valor, ni para el autor, ni para la plataforma. Muchas veces vemos a escritores de gran calidad, creadores de contenido natos, publicando 30 días de contenido sin valor, solo por seguir algunos retos que no aportan ni en conocimiento, ni en interés general.
Los retos deben seguir, pero no deben olvidar que el objetivo es la creación de contenido original y de “calidad”, que hagan un aporte positivo.
La presencia en buscadores
Cada día se hace más presente la aparición de contenido publicado en las cadenas de bloques, en las búsquedas de Google y otros buscadores. Esto se debe principalmente a la implementación, a través de los códigos que generan las páginas, es decir, gracias a la forma en que están programadas las páginas de Hive, sus algoritmos. Pero nosotros podemos contribuir mucho más mediante un contenido de interés y las distintas prácticas que se utilizan en la optimización para buscadores o SEO, según sus siglas en inglés.
Pienso que es una tarea que debemos asumir todos los miembros de las comunidades, contribuir con esa enseñanza, que en breves palabras se pueden resumir como: títulos que expresen con claridad el contenido, la utilización adecuada de subtítulos el uso de palabras claves, igualmente uso de etiquetas que se vinculen el contenido, los links o enlaces que tienen una doble función al relacionar nuestros textos con otros similares, por solo mencionar algunas de las formas de “ayudar” a los buscadores a encontrar nuestro contenido.
Traer a personalidades a Hive
Este es un tema que se ha tocado en muchas oportunidades, pero que se puede enfocar de muchas maneras. Hasta ahora siempre se ha planteado la necesidad de atraer inluencers, algo que sigue siendo válido. Pero creo que una posibilidad interesante de acercamiento, es ofrecerles espacios a esas personalidades que queremos tener acá. Sea por medio de entrevistas, de invitaciones a eventos. Que la percepción no sea que se les está vendiendo algo, o que nosotros los necesitamos acá, sino que vean que aquí hay un enorme potencial para que ellos traigan su contenido. En este sentido son fundamentales las comunidades temáticas y el rol que cumplen en Hive hoy en día.
Pero, aunque puede resultar sencillo acercarlos, es importante que perciban la receptividad. Si atraemos la atención de grandes personalidades hacia nuestros espacios o autores, ellos deben sentir el compromiso que existe en Hive y ver el potencial que existe acá. Eso es lo que puede hacer que resulte atractivo para cualquiera de ellos.
Bien, ya me he extendido mucho por esta ocasión. La idea era solo dejar algunas reflexiones, a propósito del aniversario y del gran encuentro de la comunidad de habla hispana. Así que me despido acá, esperando verlos hoy 20 y mañana 21 en el Hive Meet Up Español.

es asi! bueno en mi caso personal, yo apenas supe que, la comunidad Music estaba formada en Hive dije a partir de ese dia tengo que publicar allí, y creo que es algo mas que inteligente, lógico, sumar esfuerzos para que la comunidad Music sea una sola (retomando lo que mencionaste en el meetup) y la mejor manera de avanzar es unidos, buscando lograr esa fuerza mayor que es el resultante de mucho contenido generado en un tag y una comunidad. Por otro lado, yo estuve 1 año entero sin internet (por eso andaba lejos de discord) pero siempre activo publicando semanal en Hive constantemente contra viento y marea, entonces suscribo completamente lo que dices, no hay que desmayar ni un día y mantenerse publicando y activos por acá, que seamos ejemplo de constancia y eso contagia a los otros creadores a querer pertenecer tanto a Hive como a la comunidad Music!
