Hello friends, this is my first post in this community, I joined #Hive through my mom 2 or 3 years ago, I always read it and my mom shows me the things they do here, I really like it, although between so many concerts, rehearsals and classes I have little time left to do the crafts, This week we don't have any concerts planned, just the normal rehearsals of the week, we are going to play new pieces, that makes me very happy, we will play Danzón #2, it is a piece we have been waiting for, they are pieces that only the Orquesta Juvenil used to play and the fact that we are playing it now means that we are moving up in level. .. well today I want to show you how to make a dog collar, my dog's name is Paolo, he is very special, he fills us with joy every day, he gives me happiness and I like the way he gets excited when we arrive and he shows us that joy.... A few days ago my mom took him to the vet and he lost his breastplate, as we don't have much time we haven't bought a new one, that's why I thought about making him a collar and I'm excited about the idea of making something for my Pao Pao, although my mom tells him that it's his cabbage 😂🤣.

Materials

• 3 meters of Halyard or Paracord thread
• Lighter
• Scissors
• Clip model brooch

I took the yarn in half, and put it through the clasp as you can see in the pictures, the other two ends I put through the other hole of the clasp and measured the neck of my dog Paolo, before starting to weave the collar.

We are going to weave the flat macrame knot, my mother taught me since I was very little, she uses it a lot, it is very easy, take the long threads and start weaving, the right thread we are going to pass it over the 2 central threads, now the left thread we are going to pass it over the right thread and under the two central threads, the tip of the left thread we put it through the half circle of the right thread, we are going to do these steps until we finish the necklace.

If you follow these steps you should be getting this way, I really liked this color of yarn, it looks like my dog Paolo, although you can't see him almost because he has a lot of hair.

When I was almost finished, I ran out of yarn.... I took another piece of 1 meter and continued knitting calmly, it took me several hours that day I had a concert and I cut my fingers a little with the strings doing the vibrato, when I finished knitting cut the excess yarn and burn the ends very carefully so you don't burn yourself 😂 my mom was afraid that I would burn it but that's very easy.

To finish I placed 2 nuggets that sound fine when Paolo walks or runs, here they are called bells but I don't know if they are called the same everywhere. I used a round tip jewelry pliers and a jewelry ring, I opened the ring with the pliers, fold the necklace in half to see the center and place the nuggets, and so after placing the nuggets I finished Paolo's necklace, he doesn't like it hahaha he tries to bite it I hope he gets used to it soon.
