Happy friday. Here in Bogota it rained all morning and the day is gray and rainy, but I love it. It couldn't be a more beautiful day. At least for me. I love cold days and with constant, faint rain. Maybe other people don't like it so much, but personally, days like this bring back a lot of childhood memories and even though I get a little nostalgic, I like it. In a sense of joy and melancholy at the same time. Weird, but I like it.

Feliz viernes. Por aquí, en la ciudad de Bogotá llovió toda la madrugada y el día está gris y lluvioso, pero me encanta. No puede ser un día más hermoso. Al menos para mí. Me encantan los días fríos y con lluvia tenue y constante. Quizás a otras personas no les guste tanto, pero en lo personal, días como este me trae muchos recuerdos de la infancia y aunque me entra un poco de nostalgia, me gusta. En una sensación de alegría y melancolía al mismo tiempo. Raro, pero me gusta.

I sat down with my cup of coffee, and with the tinkling of the rain on me I set about making this beautiful bracelet. The result is very striking because although I chose green, which is my favorite color, I added that vibrant touch of colorful beads. I also added shine by incorporating a bear pendant that I had saved a long time ago and did not even remember it, but looking through the beads I found it and in good time because it came very well to this bracelet.

Me senté con mi taza de café, y con el tintineo de la lluvia sobre mi tengo me dispuse a elaborar esta hermosa pulsera. El resultado es muy llamativo porque aunque elegí el color verde, que es mi favorito, le coloqué ese toque vibrante que le aporta unas coloridas mostacillas. También le añadí brillo incorporando un colgante de osito que tenía guardado hace mucho y ni lo recordaba, pero buscando entre las mostacillas lo encontré y en buena hora porque le vino muy bien a esta pulsera.

The materials are: beads of different colors. 33 Murano crystals of 4 mm, in two shades of green. Nylon thread. 2 golden rings. A parrot beak hook. 1 dige.

Los materiales son: mostacillas de diferentes colores. 33 cristales de Murano de 4 mm, en dos tonos de verde. Hilo de nylon. 2 argollas doradas. Un gancho pico de loro. 1 dige.

We take a thread of approximately 1 meter. We place half of it and tie it to a ring that we have previously anchored to the parrot beak hook. We introduce 4 beads in each strand of thread and a bead through which we pass both threads, one from left to right and vice versa. In this way we have a ring with the beads.

Tomamos un hilo de aproximadamente 1 metro. Ubicamos la mitad y la amarramos a una argolla que previamente hemos anclado al gancho pico de loro. Introducimos 4 mostacillas en cada hebra de hilo y una mostacillas por la cual pasamos ambos hilos, uno de izquierda a derecha y viceversa. De esta forma tenemos una argolla con las mostacillas.

Now through one of the strands of thread we pass 2 murano crystals and in the other strand we place 1 crystal and 1 bead. We pass both threads through the same beads but in the opposite direction.

Ahora por una de las hebras de hilo pasamos 2 cristales de murano y en la otra hebra colocamos 1 cristal y 1 mostacilla. Pasamos ambos hilos por la misma mostacilla pero en sentido contrario.

Now we place a bead on each strand and a third bead through which we pass both strands of thread but in the opposite direction. Thus we form a small flower of four petals with the beads.

Ahora colocamos una mostacilla en cada hebra y una tercera mostacilla por la cual pasamos ambas hebras de hilo pero en sentido contrario. Así formamos una pequeña flor de cuatro pétalos con las mostacillas.

We repeat the procedure. But we work on the opposite side of where we started. In this case I started by placing two crystals on the left side and one on the right side plus 1 bead. Now we work the other way around; two crystals on the right side and on the left side one crystal plus 1 bead. The process to assemble the bead flower is the same. If desired, alternate the colors of both the crystals and the beads.

Repetimos el procedimiento. Pero trabajamos del lado opuesto de dónde hemos empezado. En este caso yo empecé colocando dos cristales del lado izquierdo y uno en el derecho más 1 mostacilla. Ahora trabajamos a la inversa; dos cristales en el lado derecho y en el izquierdo un cristal más 1 mostacilla. El proceso para armar la flor de mostacillas es el mismo. Si se quiere se van alternando los colores tanto de los cristales como de las mostacillas.

When we have reached the desired length we can place a small piece of chain and the pendant we have chosen. Before I didn't pay much attention to these details, but I have realized how much these small accessories add to our design and if we want our designs to stand out even more, pendants can be excellent allies. Cuando hemos llegado al largo deseado podemos colocar un trocito de cadena y el colgante que hayamos escogido. Antes no solía poner mucha atención a estos detalles, pero me he dado cuenta de lo mucho que aportan estos pequeños accesorios a nuestro diseño y si deseamos que nuestros diseños se destaquen aún más, los colgantes pueden ser excelentes aliados.
