No podemos detenernos y tenemos que poner el talento trabajar. No importa cuan desanimados estemos en un momento, sé que llegará la inspiración y volverá a fluir y de esos momentos donde corre en torrestes la creativida, saldran cosas muy buenas.
Hace poco me pudieron decorar unas casteleras y hacer un cartel DIY para un templo. Me ha gustado mucho que prefirieran una decoración hecha a mano que un cartel impreso. ¡Es un gusto enorme para mi ideal de "Hazlo tu mismo"
Eran 4 carteleras que tenía que decorar en un plazo de 10 horas y como es un trabajo manual tuve que ir a contra reloj, esperando poder lograrlo a tiempo.
Quiero compartir contigo el proceso de pintura y elaboración que, a pesar de ser un diseño sencillo no es un trabajo de una sola hora.
MIS MATERIALES: Pintura al agua de varios colores, pinceles planos y pincel liner, lápiz, marcador delineador negro, borrador, goma eva escarchada, tijeras y pegamento.

Recently they were able to decorate some casteleras and make a DIY sign for a temple. I really liked that they preferred handmade decoration over a printed poster. It's a huge treat for my "Do it yourself" ideal!
There were 4 billboards that I had to decorate within 10 hours and since it is a manual job I had to go against the clock, hoping to be able to achieve it in time.
I want to share with you the painting and elaboration process that, despite being a simple design, is not a one-hour job.
MY MATERIALS: Water paint of various colors, flat brushes and liner brush, pencil, black eyeliner marker, eraser, frosted EVA foam, scissors and glue.

ELABORATION PROCESS
Lo primero en que pensamos al momento de hacer un cartel es en el diseño. ¿Qué quieres lograr? ¿Tienes una idea? Entonces enfocate en esa idea y materializala. Estuve pensando en un motivo floral rodeando las letras.
Por otro lado, con el deseo de poner un poco de brillo utilicé goma eva escarchada para hacer unos numeros romanos correspondientes a la fecha que se celebra en la ocasión.
Elegí dos fuentes que combinaran y dibujé sobre el papel.
The first thing we think about when making a poster is the design. What do you want to achieve? Do you have an idea? Then focus on that idea and materialize it. I was thinking about a floral motif surrounding the letters.
On the other hand, with the desire to add a little shine, I used frosted EVA foam to make some Roman numerals corresponding to the date that is celebrated on the occasion.
I chose two fonts that matched and drew on the paper.
Con los numeros romanos cortados de molde empecé a pintar las letras enlazadas de un color rosa muy suave y las otras letras de color negro.
With the Roman numerals cut out of the mold, I began to paint the linked letters in a very soft pink color and the other letters in black.
Con las letras rosa delineadas con marcador negro y los numeros romanos pegados en su sitio era el momento para empezar a diseñar el arreglo floral que iba a estar pintando para decorar y enmarcar nuestras letras.
With the pink letters outlined in black marker and the Roman numerals glued in place it was time to start designing the floral arrangement that I was going to be painting to decorate and frame our letters.
Elegí un diseño de rosa muy sencillo que siempre me ha gustado por su expresividad y rapidez para pintar. Así pude conseguir un acabado sencillo pero tierno y llamativo.
I chose a very simple rose design that I have always liked for its expressiveness and speed to paint. This way I was able to achieve a simple but tender and striking finish.
