It's so nice to be back in the community @diyhub again and I hope you all are doing great, today I will be sharing with you with great pleasure the making of this simple pouch made with a piece of left over fabric.

This is one thing I like to do to make use of left over or pieces of fabric to make something nice and useful instead of disposing them after I am done with the main outfit I made from the fabric, as a seamstress, we usually have a lot of left over fabric and this is one of the things you can do with those pieces that will be appreciated by your client or whoever you made the outfit for.

I made this with just a single piece of fabric, a zipper and lining, that is all, it is very simple to make, join me as I take you through the cutting and sewing process below.

From the main fabric, I have 11 x 9" then I cut out interfacing of same shape and lining.

The interfacing was ironed on the main fabric to make it thick because of the texture of the fabric.

I placed a zipper on the 11" side while the lining was placed on the zipper, I sew on both sides and top stitched on the right sides.

It was zipped while I measured 1" away from the zipper and folded it down then I sew on both sides with the zipper opened to the middle.

For the handle, I measured 8 x 2" from the pieces of fabric and folded it to the middle then in two while I sew on both sides.

The handle was folded in two and placed at the zipper end while I sew it up.

It was turned inside out and I have this beautiful pouch ready for safe keeping of phone, cash, cards or other items you wish to put in it.

You can see how beautiful and nice this looks, it is very easy to make and useful as well, it is something you can try out on your own and I believe you will have a beautiful outcome.

It's a good way to reuse leftover fabric scraps. I really liked this pencil case model because it's quite simple and looks great. Thanks for sharing. Regards 🥰

This has been my best way of reusing my fabric scraps and it has been helpful to reduce the amount of scraps I have to the last piece. Thanks so much for appreciating my work.

It turned out gorgeous! That fabric is so beautiful, and the cut for the piece was perfect. 😍 This type of project is not only easy and useful, but it also allows us to use up the scraps we have stored away. 😊 Thank you so much for sharing your idea with us 😇✨
