Hello community, I'm mily23m and this is my first post in this lovely DIYHUB community. Today I'm sharing my entry to the Bee Day contest. 🐝 with an activity alluding to this little animal so important and vital for the ecosystem and life on the planet.

On the occasion of the celebration 🥳 I made some bees with scraps of foam that I had there, taking advantage of recycling ♻️ and making some nice decorative Toppers to put them in flower pots or gardens and decorate.

Here are the materials:
🐝Yellow foam scraps
🐝Black frosted foam scraps
🐝White frosted foam scraps
🐝Black foam scraps
🐝 Acetate packaging for recycling
🐝 Scissors, rulers
🐝 Glue gun
🐝 Black marker, pink highlighter
🐝 White paint

#1 With the scraps of yellow Foam draw two ovals to make the heads of the bees of about 4cm x 3cm, and two ovals of 4.4cm long x 3cm more or less with a pointed end to make the body with the stinger. For the wings in white frosted foam, about 2.5 cm x 2 cm I made 2 pairs, and I made the shape of the antennas for the bees.

#2 With scraps of frosted black foam I cut 4 thick stripes to make the body stripes, and two spikes for the stinger, I also made four little black ovals for the eyes.

#3 I put together the figurine with all the bee pieces and glued them with a silicone gun. I outlined the wings of the bees with a highlighter yellow fluorescent, and pink fluorescent highlighter on the cheeks, with white paint I put two dots to make the eyes shine, and the sparkles on the cheeks, and some sparkles in the black lines of the bees. For the white antennae I painted them in black so that There will be a white outline around it, I also made a black line on the wings to make the design stand out more.For the bows of the bees I had a braided straw string and I cut a little bit, I removed half of the thickness of the straw so that it would be thinner and in accordance with the size of the figure, and I pressed it tightly by rolling it so that it would be thinner, I made the shape of the bow and glued the center with hot silicone, to cover the center I put a small circle of golden foam and a dot of paint white in the middle of this circle.

I had an acetate packaging with some tails, and this one, since it is rectangular, has corners and edges made of a thicker material So what I did was I cut these corner edges I cut two strips 11cm long and that fold by applying pressure with the nail to "flatten it as much as possible." Once I have these "acetate" sticks, I glued it to the back, in the center of the bee.

Then with scraps of matte black foam, I glued the little bee in the middle and then cut out the outline leaving a few millimeters of margin so that the bee can be seen outline, and this will also serve to cover the joint of the glue on the stick, in the middle of the stick glue a small foam flower and a small piece of black foam on the back of the flower to cover that joint.
