Bullet journal - April

in DIYHub2 years ago

Hello everyone! Happy Thursday to you all. Today I want to share my bullet journal for April with you. For those who don't know what a bullet journal is, I would describe it as an extended to-do list and mini journal. I believe there are applications that can help you with organization, and you just have to fill it, but I prefer this way, and that is making my own journal, the traditional way, with pen and paper. I start with the first monthly page, because I like to draw, but this is something that you can skip if you don't like to draw, or simply, you want to save time, and you can just write April, and that's all. Here is my front page:

My inspiration was a video by Shayda Campbell, tough I decided to add some color to the background. For some reason I thought it would be black and with negative drawing, but I realized it's not possible to do it that way, so I just added purple. I started with 0.1 unipen, but I wasn't happy with it and I switched to 0.03 size. Here is my drawing process:

My next page is just a calendar spread where I can mark and add important dates, birthdays, events... Under the calendar, I write which books I read this month, what movies and shows I watched and what plays I saw(this I don't do each month). Other people also write about songs they listen, maybe podcast they listen, but you can add whatever works for you, or nothing.

Now to the main part. What I do is make habit tracker and expense tracker. These two are very useful to keep track of things that you want to do daily and to keep track of your expenses, so that you can menage finance better. Of course, you add things that you want, but I recommend trying more different habits, to see what is actually important for you and what you really want to keep track of. This is very good to see how much you were productive and efficient that specific month. This month I also added a workout tracker, because I know I will be working out the entire month. And next to it, I keep track of my measurements to see if the workout is giving any progress, or I need to change something.

After this I make daily tasks and for each day I write what I am supposed to do that day. Then, if I do it, I mark it, if not, I transfer the task to the next day.
I discovered bullet journaling maybe 3-4 years ago, but I didn't do it all the time, and I did it different at the beginning. If this is something interesting to you, you can find many videos on YouTube that can help with inspiration and how to do journal to best fit you.

Thanks for reading my post ^^
