CREATING A CUSHION FOR THE SEAT OF MY KNITTED CHAIR [ENG/ESP]

A while back, I restored and wove a chair I had at home to use when I sat down to work in my studio. However, this chair has a structure that wasn't designed to be woven. That's why, since I restored it, I realized that it's very uncomfortable to sit on. It has some transverse tubes in the seat area. When you sit down and the fabric stretches, your buttocks hit those tubes, making it very uncomfortable to sit on. That's why I decided to make a cushion for it to make it more comfortable.
Hace un tiempo atrás restaure y tejí una silla que tenía en mi casa para usarla cuando me siente a trabajar en mi estudio, pero esta silla tiene una estructura que no fue diseñada para ser tejida, por eso desde que la restaure me di cuenta de que es muy incómoda para sentarse, ya que tiene unos tubos transversales en la parte del asiento que cuando uno se sienta y el tejido se estira, las posaderas pegan de eso tubos y se vuelve muy incómodo estar allí sentado. por eso decidí hacerle un cojín para que sea más cómodo usarla.
Since I had several pieces of foam from some furniture I took apart a while ago, I was able to use them to fill the cushion; I just had to cut and adjust it to the necessary size so it would fit the chair.
Como tenía varias gomas espuma de unos muebles que desarme hace tiempo, pude usarla para rellenar el cojín, solo tenía que cortar y adaptar al tamaño necesario para que se acople a la silla.
With the stuffing ready, I now had to find some fabric to make the cushion cover. While searching through my things, I found a piece of women's clothing I had given to my ex-partner a while back. It was too late to return that, so I decided to use that piece to make the cushion cover. Plus, the color of the fabric contrasts very well with the color of the chair.
Teniendo el relleno listo, ahora tenía que conseguir una tela para hacer el forro del cojín, revisando entre mis cosas encontré una prenda de ropa femenina que le había regalado hace tiempo a mi expareja, ya era muy tarde para estar devolviendo eso, así que decidí usar esa prenda para hacer el forro del cojín. Además, el color de la tela hace muy buen contraste con el color de la silla.
I cut the fabric to the size I needed to make the cushion and then started sewing. I would have liked a zipper to fit the lining and make it easier to remove the stuffing when I need to wash it, but I didn't have the zipper handy. I'll buy one later and add it. For now, I'll just sew the lining.
Corte la tela a la medida que necesitaba para hacer el cojín y luego me puse a coser; me fuese gustado tener un cierre de cremallera para adaptárselo al forro y así poder sacar el relleno con más facilidad cuando requiera lavar el forro, pero no tenía a la mano el cierre, luego comprare uno y se lo incorporo, por ahora solo con costura realizare el forro.
This was the final result of my little project to create a cushion for my chair and make it a little more comfortable so I could work comfortably at my desk. It was a very easy project to complete and the finish was almost flawless. Now I can enjoy the comfort of my studio. I hope you enjoy this post.
Este fue el resultado final de mi pequeño proyecto de creación de un cojín para mi silla y hacerla un poco más cómoda para poder trabajar en mi escritorio a gusto; fue un proyecto muy fácil de realizar y con un acabado casi impecable, ahora a disfrutar de la comodidad de mi estudio.
