El 8 de marzo en Argentina es una fecha muy importante y especial, el movimiento de mujeres en estos últimos años creció muchísimo, la ola feminista, llamada la ola verde no paro de crecer, el movimiento feminista está integrado por muchas mujeres, jóvenes y adultas, unidas por una causa común, el empoderamiento femenino, y mejorar nuestras vidas frente a tanta desigualdad, por eso mi propuesta para el concurso Celebremos a la mujer es un parche para mi morral.

March 8 in Argentina is a very important and special date, the women's movement has grown a lot in recent years, the feminist wave, called the green wave, has not stopped growing, the feminist movement is made up of many women, young and old. , united by a common cause, female empowerment, and improving our lives in the face of so much inequality, that is why my proposal for the Let's Celebrate Women contest is a patch for my backpack.

Empecé con la propuesta al estilo pancarta con la conocida frase girl power pero en formato reducido quitando las vocales, entonces es GRL PWR, para esto lo fui dibujando a mano con la lapicera que se borra con calor, y le di un piso a las letras para que se vieran del mismo tamaño, y también poder bordar ese piso después, en este caso como es un parche bordado a mano no quiero que sea muy grande.

I started with the banner-style proposal with the well-known phrase girl power but in a reduced format, removing the vowels, so it is GRL PWR, for this I drew it by hand with the pen that erases with heat, and I gave the letters a flat so that they looked the same size, and also to be able to embroider that floor later, in this case since it is a hand-embroidered patch I don't want it to be very big.

Utilice hilo de bordar mouline pero separando hebras, para bordar letras siempre uso dos hebras, pero lo anudo al final así que siempre utilizo 4, y utilice mi punto más dominado en bordado que es la puntada atrás, es la forma más simple para bordar letras y siempre me queda muy prolijo esto.

Use mouline embroidery thread but separating strands, to embroider letters I always use two strands, but I knot it at the end so I always use 4, and use my most mastered stitch in embroidery which is the back stitch, it is the simplest way to embroider letters and this is always very wordy for me.

Con toda la primera fila de letras fue rápido, así que avance a la segunda, lo que se puede complicar un poco son las curvas del texto, pero yo decidí hacer en esas zonas unas puntadas más cortas para que tomara la forma correcta y las letras no se vieran toscas o cuadradas, con todo el avance de las letras en color negro tocaba la decoración de alrededor.

With the entire first row of letters it was fast, so I moved on to the second, what can get a little complicated are the curves of the text, but I decided to make shorter stitches in those areas so that it took the correct shape and the letters They did not look rough or square, with all the progress of the black letters touching the surrounding decoration.

Para esto use un hilo salmón, me gusta este color y resalta mucho, así que borde el soporte del texto para que no esté flotando en la nada, me gusta un poco más, siento que ordena alguna puntada que se pudo haber ido de carril un poco jajaja, hace mucho no bordaba así que este un poco oxidada con esto.

For this I used a salmon thread, I like this color and it stands out a lot, so I bordered the text support so that it is not floating in nothingness, I like it a little more, I feel that it organizes some stitch that could have gone off track a little hahaha, I haven't embroidered in a long time so I'm a little rusty with this.

Lo último que toco bordar fue todo el borde, así que fui haciendo puntada por puntada para darle el marquito necesario, y con esto estar más cerca de terminar mi bordado, al final me sobraba un poco de hilo así que decidí utilizarlo en la punta para no desperdiciar ni un poco.

The last thing I had to embroider was the entire edge, so I went stitch by stitch to give it the necessary frame, and with this to be closer to finishing my embroidery, in the end I had a little thread left over so I decided to use it on the tip to Don't waste even a little bit.

Para terminar este bordado lo saque del soporte, lo corte y termine la parte posterior con un poco de entretela termoadhesiva para que fije muy bien las puntadas, esto me va a ayudar mucho a que el parche no se desarme, y ya está listo para ser colgado, no voy a fijarlo por completo a mi bolso sino que lo voy a sostener con unos alfileres de gancho por si quiero moverlo a alguna mochila en algún momento, bordar este parche me gustó mucho y tengo ganas de hacer algunos más con diferentes temáticas.

To finish this embroidery, I take it out of the support, cut it and finish the back part with a little thermo-adhesive interlining so that it fixes the stitches very well, this will help me a lot so that the patch does not come apart, and it is ready to be hanging, I'm not going to completely attach it to my bag but I'm going to hold it with some safety pins in case I want to move it to a backpack at some point. I really liked embroidering this patch and I want to make some more with different themes.
