BDCommunity Updated Guidelines

Hello, Good Samaritans of BDCommunity. This is a very much needed/awaited announcement, that in the coming days, will shape the future of how we operate as a whole towards the betterment of this community and the Hive ecosystem.

In the last couple of months, we have transcended far beyond what we initially aimed for. Our primary goal was to ensure a community that is solely targeted towards the betterment of users from bangladesh. Now we have evolved into a community that has expanded our reach far beyond the bounds of nationality and supports a diverse spectrum of qualitiful content.

Our user base has expanded exponentially, and with that comes a massive responsibility of filtering out spam and abuse. While our primary goal is still to promote engagement and better reward our community members, the potential misuse of our relaxed, easy-going nature has not escaped our stern eyes.

As you already know, we held writing contests and giveaways that were solely self-funded for the last five weeks. While we thoroughly enjoyed the colossal flow of contents being posted on the blockchain through our community, we were disheartened by attempts at taking advantage of the opportunity that we provided, both in terms of contest prizes, and upvotes.

This makes it necessary for us to outline specific guidelines that we require our users to follow, hoping it will improve the quality of content that we see every day in our community feed and the hopes that these will guide authors towards self-development and more enjoyable content.

The Guidelines Are As Follows:

• Content must be original by the author. Any forms of plagiarism will not be supported (This includes both Content and Image Plagiarism).

• Please post in either Bengali or English language only.

• All Bangladeshi Users are urged to Join the BDCommunity Discord Server to introduce themselves and earn the "Bangali Badge." This will play an essential role in deciding whether your content gets curated by our curators. Drop over to our discord and ask our curators for the badge. It'll take only a minute to validate.

• International authors do not need to achieve the Bangali Badge, but it is highly encouraged to join our discord, be active, and engage with the community.

• We discourage posting content from multiple accounts. We request users who own multiple accounts to report themselves to our community with an explanation of why they need to have multiple accounts. You are unlikely to receive further support from our community if you're using multiple accounts with dishonest intent. The Moderators of the BDCommunity will have the final say if such a situation arises.

• No hate speech will be tolerated. Be respectful to one another, engage meaningfully by reading other users' posts, and interact with them both on and off-chain. Be a part of the community.

• Cross-posting is not allowed.

• Most important rule, Have Fun! Do not forget to follow your dream :)

If you want to post art, poetry, fiction, your recipes, and gaming content, we will curate them. But you have to remember something. We have so many communities on our hive ecosystem for your Special niche content who can appreciate and support it more than us. Like OnChainArt, INKWELL and HiveGaming and more.
