This weekend, when I was cooking our lunch for Saturday, someone broke a glass. It was a careless mistake and not a big deal. Nobody was hurt, no major spill. However, the person who did it got startled somehow and was quite embarrassed. I was quite surprised, as no harm was done, and nobody said anything, nobody even reacted. So why the guilt? It is all within, I gather. We make mistakes all the time. Important is to learn from it. Albert Einstein's overused words are:
"A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new."
In this blockchain space, that is precisely what we are continually doing. We are trying new things. So, it is a given that we will make mistakes. For example, there is a new buzz on wrapped tokens. During BDC's Friday night meeting, our Developer Dude Reazul Iqbal gave an inspiring talk on wrapped tokens. I always enjoy Reazul's positivity. Many who knows the discussion may roll their eyes because those who know Reazul generally understand him as a skeptic, perhaps even a cynic. Well, I say two things to that. One, it is only part of the story. Two, What's the difference between a cynic and an optimist. I will argue that there is none. They are just two faces of a single coin, which complement each other and provides balance to the universe. Anyways, due to Reazul's inspiring talk, I jumped into the wrapped token world. I connected my ETH wallet to Uniswap, and bingo! Within 5 clicks, I am providing liquidity to the wrapped Leo token in the fantastic world of decentralized exchanges and finance.
Do I know the consequences of my actions? Hell, no!
Am I excited? Hell, yes!
Is there a risk involved? Of course!
But how do I know if I do not try? I am usually of the opinion, jump first, and think later. A lot of the things we try on the blockchain is new. There is no previous knowledge of how a liquidity pool will work, for example. Did it do all the settings correctly. I have no idea, but I intend to find out.
I am not saying everyone should do what I do. That is impossible. But I can do it, and maybe from my mistakes, I can collect data and list it for you; so that you do not make the same mistake I did. I can easily take a financial loss, which doesn't make any difference to me. That mistake I will make will likely help you understand the things you shouldn't do.
You may ask why I am doing this… what's in it for me. Well, let me tell you a story about a deliberate mistake. The United States Congress mandated that by 2015 1/3 rd. of all US military vehicles will be automated. Pentagon's Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) could have sought the most extensive international companies or research institutes for the task. Instead, DARPA made a deliberate mistake of inviting amateurs to the project.:)They sponsored an unmanned vehicle race open to all in the middle of a desert, with prize money of $1M US. It was a disaster! As most of the contestants, almost all University students failed miserably! Most of their robotic vehicles didn't even get off the starting line! Some might say that was a major stupidity from DARPA, but others will say it was a genius piece of work. That single race confirmed 13 different methods of building robotic vehicles will not work at all for military purposes. It saved companies millions of man-hours of work, not trying those failed approaches. This is a classic example of the potential gain greatly outweighs the cost of the mistake.
𝒯𝒽𝒾𝓈 𝒲𝑒𝑒𝓀'𝓈 𝐹𝑒𝒶𝓉𝓊𝓇𝑒 --𝓤𝓷𝓴𝓷𝓸𝔀𝓷 𝓤𝓷𝓴𝓷𝓸𝔀𝓷𝓼
Precisely on this day of last year, I was standing right beside this unknown, tiny, yet vicious locally called Remakri falls! The sheer power of the current had humbled me! And an idea born within the fraction of a second had grown as humongous as a century-old mystic baobab tree! "Should I turn back?"
There I was, a nearly 220-pound overweight chap who has the faintest possibility of survival if he ever drops in such a ferocious rivulet, yet, I stepped forward. As lady fate had deemed it, I fell hard:V A sharp-edged boulder had cut my pinkie in half, and still, I was able to clutch the safety rope! And now, here I am, a year later, alive and kicking, and I have seen what's on the other side of the orifice of hell!
We have this tiny space here that we call BDC. Within the past few moons, we successfully have reshaped this, into, for the lack of a better word, a place that can easily be compared to Home, only virtual. For me, the first thing I always do after waking up is check our even tinier channels crawling with unique and beautiful minds for something fun! But it wasn't always like this! It was never this fairyland we get to see in Disney movies! It was a bulky, ugly looking pine log which we have slowly but surely molded into a perfectly balanced canoe drifting over the river of destiny!
In this turbulent ride of mine, I met with a few people, who, whatever happens, I will cherish forever! A few who are as passionate and devoted to righteousness as anyone ever can be! Individuals who have such a strong sense of justice that even while facing assured destruction wouldn't flinch even the tiniest bit! You know who you are!
Some, who could not handle the moral reformations, had turned their back on us! Some, who had the capacity and openness to be their better version, are now amongst our ranks! And believe me, when I say this, I love all of them! I love both sides of the coin because one side affirms the existence of the other side! Without one, the other holds no meaning at all!
Before embarking on this voyage, I never knew what was in store for me up to this point! And I don't even know what the future could look like! But, I only know one thing, when the storm hits, its better to plant your feet firmly and face it, rather than bickering away the rest of your life! For life has many many paths. Some are known, yet most are not. But only one to choose! The only one that leads to destiny!

Faust belongs to the German folklore. There have been many adaptations and retelling of the story, in almost every format or media we have.
In it, the Devil/Mephisto/Lucifer and the archangel Michael make a wager. Suppose the devil can impose his will onto an honest, pious man and make him go astray, make him follow his devilish path. In that case, Michael will leave the earth's control and fate in the devil's hands.
To win the wager, the devil releases plague in a city. People drop dead left and right. When praying hard and long doesn't yield anything, Faust, a pious, elderly alchemist, then turns to the devil. He summons him and immediately regrets his decision. He wants to break free of the bondage, but the devil is ever-present, ever persistent and Faust has nowhere to go.
How Murnau formulated this scene is a marvel — to me, at least. The composition with light and shadows make the scene genuinely demonic and unearthly. And it clearly states its meaning - Faust soul now forever belongs to Mephisto. His hat's off to Faust, a notion of allegiance.
I'm also surprised to see the dynamic range the camera had at that time. I mean, true, resolution wise modern phone cameras win by a big, big margin but still nowhere near the dynamic range it had.
Further proving my age-old argument, smartphone cameras will never beat a dedicated cinema camera. This is just physics; larger sensors will capture more data.
Take a look here at the footage. Well, the film is so old, it's in the public domain. So I cut it and uploaded it here.

When you plan a trip without a Plan...
When everything falls into perfect places where you wanted them to be, then we can assume the plan went perfectly as planned. But when it gets shattered, that precisely means you have made one/big mistake which ruined almost everything. I hate it when it happens with me and even worse when it comes to a long trip! Yep, recently a similar incident happened to me, thus learned an excellent lesson from it.
The above image that you are watching is what was the end result of the trip. Exactly, NOTHING! It was a disaster trip planned by my friends. They called me up on the day before the trip and fixed me up for it. I was not ok with the trip as few other people tagged along with who I was not familiar. Still, in the end, friends can be very possessive when it comes to making you agree over something which you do not want to do. My head was burning with rage, and so were others who had no idea where we were headed from the beginning. We were told this would be a surprise trip to Sreemongol, as it is one of the most fantastic places, so nobody really complained about it. But after reaching the spot and getting the above view, almost everyone was disappointed.
If I call the most disaster adventure of this year of mine, I will name this one. But at the end of the day, we came back to where we started from, and in the evening, we went to a local place which was worth even more than all this travel and expenses related to it.
Lessons learned :
- Do not travel with a travel plan
- Do not trust your friends blindly when it comes to travel ;)
- Always have a backup plan when you are making a travel plan
- Do small research for where you are going
- Get your gears as you need them to be
But whatever you do, when you are traveling with your friend, every moment becomes worth being remembered. This trip was of that sort as well. It might not have gone the way we wanted it to be, but it was an excellent time for some of our close friends to get together after a long time and spend some time and have fun! Hopefully, on the next trip, I will be the one handling the plans!
Place : Sreeemongal, Boddho Bhumi, Sylhet, Bangladesh.

Instructions to Get Featured
This here is our piece de resistance. To promote engagement and a little self-branding, we have come up with an initiative that we simply called Featured. And we are very excited about this portion of the magazine.
Every week, one talented author will have the opportunity to contribute a piece for the magazine, while showcasing one of their best posts. The willing writers will have a chance to add a few words about any topic they choose and be a 25% beneficiary of the magazine.
How to Get Featured
The first step is, you have to decide whether you want to get featured or not. Once you've made up your mind, you have to apply by submitting one of your articles from last week. We have a wiggle room for quality content if they are older than seven days. Choose the piece you deem to be your best work for the week, as this will play a significant role in you getting featured or not.
Application Window
There will be a two-day period to submit your application. It must be submitted by dropping a link to your post in the #Featured-Magazine channel on the BDCommunity Discord Server. One author will be chosen randomly from all the submissions. The featured author for the week will be announced during the weekly voice meeting. They will then have two days for writing a piece and submit.
The author who gets featured in the weekly magazine will be set as a 25% beneficiary, meaning 25% of the magazine's liquid payout will go to the featured author.
I am always keen on reading editorial part as I get inspiration from it. We know many quotes from famous philosopher or writer but applying it in the right place and expressing the underlying message with appropriate example is the key part. You guys are to the point in this subject. I am applying below message theme from last few years.
As a department head, I need to deal with many mistakes of my subordinates. If I run after their mistakes, they will do the corrections in fear and to satisfy me but their brain will not work to take the corrective action plan to stop the recurring of the same mistakes. So, CAP(corrective action plan) is quite important. For that, we need to give them the space for learning from mistakes rather scolding.
@zayedsakib bro
I am also a bulky person and trying to reduce it by all means. Doing exercise with Fitbit and trying hard. Few days ago I got inspired from Bassbaba Sumon. Here it is-
Ha ha ha🤣 bass baba is a proper comedian:p
Another Turni, Wonderful! Another late night where a few young individuals have put their priorities upside down to generate magic! I don't think there are any ways these group of individuals can be compensated, so I wouldn't try. However, I like to point out that any effort towards the betterment of the community won't go unnoticed. So I decided to reward the three individuals who spend countless hours on community service for free. They are the editorial board of Turni, and this is not a compensation but just a token of gratitude ...

By the way, where is the center of this geometric shape? 😀 It is my duty to mess with your brain! 😀
That is a Mandelbrot Fractal by the way (I am sure you will google it!)
Google didnt help me even one bit!!
Apparently it has infinite space.. So it can be zoomed in infinitely:pp Fractals are uber interesing"!!
Yes, There is no center to Mandelbrot Fractal :)
That was the point. LOL!

Greetings, brother.
Mistakes mean you're trying something new. Although it's kind of risky when it's life-threatening. That's why we gained so much knowledge from those.
By the way maybe that person who broke that glass was just afraid. What if someone will get mad or something else.
Yeap that's true and learning from the mistake makes it perfect. Thats why we should always see the mistakes positively and learn from those without being panicked so that it doesn’t repeat in future.
Thank you for your time,i hope that you have enjoyed the magazine. Have a good time!
I really like the work they do and everything they have built on the platform. I know I am a new user, but I have noticed that you are one of the strongest communities and with this post I now know more about you.

Thanks man! We are trying to send a message that we are not just a community, we are a family where everyone has the opportunity to built their own identity. Have a great time & thanks for your kind word.
Every words in the begining give unique inspiration , i felt very much after reading this post start discussion view so thank and i have great wish to have talk with bro Reazul Iqbal..
Great line and whole post is full of motivation and This is what i believe. Another meaning of this is we are learning from mistakes. And for do something unique, mistake is the most important. Thanks for this post.
