Radiated Brute is a Common card in Splinterlands that stands out for its strength and aggressive playstyle. It's abilities make it a solid choice alongside melee monsters. Radiated Brute finds its place in battles where you need to focus on damage or an offensive second line is needed.
Lore
The spreading blight on the continent of Praetoria twisted both the land and its people.
Plants and animals were the first to become corrupted. Fungus sprouted from vegetation and gave them sentience. Animals grew extra limbs, heads, and grew to extraordinary sizes.

Card Effects
Reach |
This ability is useful because it allows Radiated Brute to attack from behind the main tank position which keeps it safer while still being able to deal damage. This flexibility makes it ideal her that doesn't have any defensive abilities or high health or armor but has high melee damage.
Enrage |
Enrage is effective because it increases Radiated Brute’s attack and speed when it takes hits making it an even stronger threat once in that state. This ability is beneficial as it enhances both its attack and speed which is extremely important for a melee unit.
Strengths & Weaknesses
Radiated Brute has strong melee attacks and good speed which makes it a great offensive melee unit. With its Reach ability, it can attack from a safe position which covers his health weakness. Since she is a melee unit, Radiated Brute is extremely compatible with Tarsa, which is the summoner that you would be most likely using when using Fire element. |
Two main weaknesses of Radiated Brute is its lack of armor and health which makes it vulnerable to strong high damage attacks. Additionally, its effectiveness decreases in rule sets that affects melee units such as Briar Patch ruleset or Reverse Speed ruleset. |
When To Use
Melee Mayhem |
Radiated Brute works well in this rule set since all melee units can attack from any position. This increases the flexibility of Radiated Brute and allows you to put her anywhere at the back and still attack.
Rise of the Commons |
In battles where only Common and Rare cards are allowed, Radiated Brute passes the bar being a Common unit from the Chaos Legion.
Blood and Sunder |
Radiated Brute is really good in Blood and Sunder because she is not affected by it. Radiated Brute doesn't have any armor so even if her attacks hit, she won't have any armor to be affected.
When Not To Use
Back to Basics |
Back to Basics ruleset removes all unit abilities. Radiated Brute loses Reach and Enrage which means she cannot attack from a safe position anymore. Since she is a melee unit, the only way to use her is as the main tank and that health with no armor isn't a good look for a tank.
Armored Up |
Radiated Brute's targets gains armor in this rule set which reduces her effectiveness against them since melee attacks doesn't pass through armor. While it benefits your units including Radiated Brute, it also inhibits her since she needs to attack twice now the enemies that she would've killed in a turn.
Briar Patch |
Briar Patch reflects 2 melee damage back at melee attackers which can be a disadvantage. This makes her in a disadvantage as she takes damage everytime her attacks hit.

Due to the combination of Tarsa and Tusk the Wide giving my team extra 2 melee damage, that gave me a lot of edge in this battle ending it in mere 2 turns.
Final Thoughts
Radiated Brute is a Common card with solid offensive potential especially in rule sets that favor melee attackers. Although it lacks the necessary defense to be a main tank, she can be an effective offensive tank instead similar to Forgotten One and Grund.
In this battle, I didn't even need to maximize my unit count even if it's limited by Five Alive rule set. Tarsa and melee units are strong enough to win the game even if I am on the number's disadvantage.
All in all, this shows how strong Radiated Brute is despite the odds. If you want a unit that can obliterate your opponent before they can act, Radiated Brute is one of the units you wanted to be on your team.
