Hello everyone. I hope everyone is doing well and having a good warm time in this winter. But as we all are aware, winter is a very polarizing season. Winter rings your thoughts with warm quilts, hot foods and fresh vegetables, along with year ending vacation. It has been almost everyone's favorite season. But it's not so fun on the other side of the aisle. There are always people who are suffering from the cold. Imagine the people living in the rural areas, where the cold is the thickest. Let alone the homeless guy lying down on the pavement in the next block. Winter doesn't remind of fresh vegetables or warm blankets to them. To them, it's just the shivering cold nights, helpless, in pain. Every year a significant amount of people die or suffer in the cold.
It's very painful to see these people suffering while we enjoy the warmth in our own home. So even though it won't make a world of a difference or it won't help everyone who are suffering, but still we try. So, me and some of my friends have decided to give away some blankets to the needy and poor this winter. Specially we will be focusing on those who sleep on the street during winter nights and have no fixed place to live. As for the cost, each thick blanket will cost approximately 1000 Bangladeshi Taka (8 USD). We will try to give away as many blankets as we possibly can, as it's always more heartwarming to be able to help as much people we can. After all, seeing them have a better day and better night's sleep will help us be at peace as well.
I have previously shared my previous initiatives with Hive Community and your kind contribution had really benefited many people. So, I'm requesting you all to come forward and contribute to this campaign. If you are interested to contribute to this initiative, you can send liquid Hive or HBD to my account, @mahirabdullah . I will publish final progress report here after successfully executing our project.
Additionally, as a secondary objective, we have decided to give away some old clothes from the people who don't need them anymore, to people for whom it will be a world of a difference. These are just small attempts of ours. Trying to live a better life together. Just trying to do what's right, and possibly a very basic human right.

Honestly it's Wholesome, people who are homeless and don't have winter outfits do deserves to feel the warmth and I'm sure you'll find such people and gonna help, we need more people like you!

Providing winter clothes to the poor and homeless is a nice initiative to embark on. I remember how you did a similar charity project last year, and I commend you and your team for this thoughtful initiative, reaching out to the needy to keep them warm for winter so we can all live a better life together.
