The true freedom in this century is not the freedom of thought, spirit, or speech/expressions. It's the financial freedom. True, even then you're bound by the local and to a greater extent, the international law. However, every govt. can be bought if you have enough money. But most people wouldn't need to go that far or have to be filthy rich. Not worrying about tomorrow can be quite enough.
Once you have financial freedom, the other kind of freedoms can easily follow. That's my take on money.
