Earthquake | Never Underestimate Wingbreak & Snare Combo

One thing they will always tell you when you play splinterland is to always think of which ability will work best or go hand in hand with a given rulesets, even though it is good to play inline with the ruleset given at times it isn't bad to sway a little bit. When it come to this particular ruleset "Earthquake", which deal -2 damage to non flying element, A wingbreak ability is my best bet, this particular ability get to target flying cards first no matter their position and also add extra +2 damage, even though this particular ability is still a new ability, I just wish we can have more than just one card with the ability, currently Night reaper is the only card with it and it is in the dragon element which still look cool because we can easily pair it with other element.

I focus is how I can easily max this card especially when I saw the last stand ability on it if maxed, that ability is also a really deal if activated, I can't forget how it make Kron really powerful in the wide format. Currently when it come to earthquake rulesets, there are 2 things you should always look forward too before picking your cards, 1 is going with the rule by picking flying abilities cards if available because it save you from unnecessary -2 damage every round and using that can actually give you some advantages and the second part is to pick some debuff cards that will be going against flying cards, currently I can think of 2 abilities which is the Wingbreak and Snare which when applied can remove flying ability from a flying card.

Checking out a battle I had with Mctopherson, we had 3 ruleset which was Tis but scratches which give all cards the cripple ability, then Counterspell which give out the magic reflect, then Earthquake. The counterspell really put a big jinx to the battle since it is will be a bad idea using a magic cards unless the void ability will be available to take in the counter damage except an amplify ability is also available but somehow I decided to sway a little bit and go off board. One thing I'm sure off is that he will use flying cards to give an advantage and he wont use a magic cards in this particular case. Checking out the mana capped which was 33 and the element available, I decided to pair dragon with earth element just to use the wingbreak card.

I had to put Croire as my front line with the amazing ability, I even wish I could use the weapon training in this battle but with the flank ability, I placed Pelacor Mercenary so it can get the reach ability and it can really work well, I had to look for a snare based cards and Venari Marksrat was my only option which I placed adjacent to Night reaper and lastly was Naga assassin with the swiftness ability. Seeing what my opponent was actually half 80% of what I expect, no magic but range cards and he only came with 1 flying cards, he thought I will be using range cards perhaps and decided to use a -1 range summoner. First round was pretty cool for me since the snare ability got apply quicker than I expect after Night reaper landed a whooping blow on his pelacor and he manage to destroy my croire, the earthquake effect was really something, it would have been deadlier if it also have the noxious fume combo, what how the battle really play out to see the impart of Night reaper in the battle.
