I think by now most active splinterland play would have seen the recent update especially the battle ground design update which isn't looking that amazing or maybe we are already use to the old one, the color look nice but odd to me, even now that the buttons are now place at the top area, I still find myself clicking the pause and play or the skip to results button at the usual spot. Have you check those amazing looking card in the legends section, Gosh those cards are amazing with some super ability combo even though the price look good now, I know it will definitely come down in future, I just love the fact that they are dual based element and also one at least always have new ability attached to it like this incoming Meriput Mossmender with the Echo ability which trigger twice the active abilities (repair, healing and cleansing ability), things about to change a little in some ruleset like poison based or during debuff battles.
How well do you know your ruleset, this is one of the major question and a key to win most of your battles incased you happened to have all monster cards and summoner. Had a battle this week before the recent update and I must say knowing the summoner that really go hand in hand with the ruleset and that got me the victory I really need. Had this particular battle with Ragnar and the ruleset given was Stampede which allow trample cards to deal multiple damage attack as long as they completely destroy a card then we had Counterspell which give all cards the magic reflect and get to deal damage back to any magic monster cards, if you are to follow the rule, using a magic cards without a void ability is a bad idea but check the Stampede ruleset really give the way out on which strategy I can use. At first I know I won't be using any magic cards and just following the melee only strategy with the hope that my opponent won't debuff my cards. Picking the summoner was kind of easy to pick since only Possibilus the wise is the summoner that do grant trample to all unit and stampede work with trample.

Since Possibilius give extra +2 health and reach ability to all cards, I selected Diemonshark as my frontline, the card is way too good for that position, since I have the reach ability in place, I had to put Coastal Sentry in the second position since it has double strike and piercing ability will really put a little change to the whole combo. I really want all my cards to be able to attack so it won't be like a minus 1 for me, I went in with two opportunity cards Kulu Mastermind and Deeplurker, picked venka the vile with charge which allow it attack from any position and piercing then lastly is Swamp spitter my only range cards with the repair ability. the most common thing here is that all have a good attacking strength to back each other up and was really hope the stampede got activated.
Oh my opponent decided to come in with life element and used a summoner with void armour to back his strategy which is full of range cards, he really knew counterspell and magic card shouldn't be working together, First round was really a hard one, upon all the attack none destroy each other in the first round but we kind of miss a little. and boom in round 2, I destroy his Uriel and dealt extra attack then he destroy my diemonshark and at round 3, the magic happened, stampede got activated after Coastal Sentry came to the frontline line and destroy 3 cards in a row, it was really amazing to watch as I won the battle. Possibilius really work well with stampede and it is really a good choice.
