A new Season Hunt challenge has begun hosted by the talented @barbara-orenya in the #feelgood community.
Theme for the challenge is PUMPKINS.

This first photo is an artificial pumpkin I used to make a little Autumn decoration on the coffee table.
Since taking the first photo, I added a decal of a spider to the pumpkin.
As Halloween draws nearer I see many displays of scary creatures and pumpkins decorating front steps and porches of houses.
There’s many different types of pumpkins. This is a collection of a variety of pumpkins I picked up at a farm and arranged by the front porch.
There is a ghostly white one, two smaller pie pumpkins and the larger flattened squat one the clerk at the farm called a Cinderella pumpkin…maybe because it’s the shape of Cinderella’s coach.
The pie pumpkins can be baked later and used to make pies.

Displays I put on the front porch in past years to acknowledge Halloween. I’ve had to buy fresh pumpkins each time but use the same straw doll.

We could use a party like the ancients did to celebrate the harvest. I think some countries do have a Harvest Festival.🥳

Thanks Dee. 💞 Red doesn’t seem to bother with things like Sunday Cat did. I’ve been thinking of getting some house plants ..maybe one to see if he will leave it alone.

You're very welcome Jo!! I do miss not having any house plants and especially no Poinsettia's around the holidays. I wonder if you are getting the weather we just had?! Rain and lots of wind. Halloween isn't celebrated a lot here. Only in the past years the kids have started to wear costumes and go from door to door, but mine have never been interested in it.
I have been driving around the whole morning, but I haven't seen any farm fields with pumpkins. Maybe I see something tomorrow, or I will have to go and buy a pumpkin - take a photo and then make pumpkin soup 😋
I like your decorations on the porch, Jo, but most I like the last photo 😁 good luck in the Challenge 🤞

Lots of Halloween decorations with scary monsters and pumpkins on display around this area, Hannes.
It’s a big thing …even the stores have Halloween displays. 🎃👻 I do have wrapped candy ( chocolate bars) on hand in case any children show up at the door Halloween evening looking for a treat. It’s fun to see the little ones all dressed up in costume. I hope some come by as I don’t want to eat all those chocolate bars. :)

People are slowly becoming used of Halloween here too. Maybe my grand children will celebrate it like you do.
I have taken so many photos in the past days, but not a single pumpkin was to see 🎃 maybe tomorrow.

Wow. Nice of you to share the different displays of your front porch over the years. You really celebrate Halloween over there. Those pumpkins look great. I actually told @barbara-orenya that I'm in for this hunt but where to look for pumpkins in a tropical country like mine 😩 The only ones we have here are squash. But my daughter said she can give me some digital pumpkin art so I might still make it, hopefully.
