WrestleCon is an annual event and conference for pro wrestling fans. It happens on the same weekend as the famous WrestleMania (This year: April 4 to 7). Fans can meet and greet up and coming wrestlers, current famous faces, and legendary retired wrestlers.
WrestleCon matters for Hive because WOO will be there this year with nine of our retired wrestling partners—all huge names in the industry, and especially in Philadelphia (where WrestleCon is happening this year). We will be showcasing the game, selling rare merch, and encouraging a niche and passionate fanbase to sign up for Hive. It’s also worth noting that WrestleCon is expecting a record attendance this year.
Hive is such a diverse technology platform—we believe that it has something for everyone. Including pro wrestling fans. WOO partner @MikeyWhipwreck has already started blogging here on Hive, and we have gotten our partners onto prominent wrestling podcasts complete with WOO branding.
It is so important to show the world that crypto enabled tech is not just a bunch of scammy NFTs or silly memecoins. We can make a real difference in people’s lives, we can deliver novel solutions to diverse communities, and we can look damn good while doing it.
WOO has secured a prime spot at the WrestleCon conference, in a high traffic zone virtually beside ticketing & check-in. We have 50 feet, five tables, a sick backdrop, branded stands, and sexy banners for each of our partners (six shown below):

Hive sign ups
Our plan for signing up new Hive users is a raffle. A poster signed by nine legends is a super rare piece of memorabilia, and that's what we're offering. Fans at WrestleCon can earn raffle tickets by doing stuff like following our socials, but the main way to get a lot of tickets is to sign up for Hive. We’ve developed a custom landing page and registration system. WOO is taking care of the cost of the accounts as well as giving away free Booker’s Licenses to fans.
Hopefully it is an improvement over some of the clunkier onboarding flows we struggle with on Hive. We’ve also written some articles about Hive and Hive Keychain to help onboard newcomers.

WrestleCon is also the debut of our amazing title belts, lovingly crafted by the same dude who does them the WCW and NJPW. Sponsored by @splinterlands, @leofinance, @dcrops, and @thunkgaria, these masterful pieces will be recognized by fans as the real deal. We’re going to sell selfies and photos with the belts.
