Zamioculcas

Desde muy pequeño mi madre me inculco un amor por las plantas, bueno en realidad por todo, pero por las plantas siempre me dijo que son el oxígeno del mundo, eso lo entendí muchos años después cuando me lo explicaron en clases. Estoy seguro de que algún día podre tener una casa con un buen terreno para poder plantar diferentes plantas, pero como vivo en un apartamento suele ser un poco complicado por el espacio, hay personas que sus apartamentos parecen un bosque, pero a pesar de que me gustan las plantas no me gusta tener el apartamento como un bosque, pero cada quien con sus gustos.

En el pasillo antes de entrar al apartamento he sembrado girasoles y rosas, pero me las han robado, lo último que sembré y aún puedo disfrutar de ellas, es unas plantas de Albahaca, y eso porque nos gusta mucho la salsa de tomates y eso es un gran ingrediente para que las salsas queden geniales.

Ahora bien esa pequeña planta que se le conoce como zamioculcas, me la regalaron unos amigos que se iban del país y decidieron regalármela, lo que ven en la foto precitamente es una nueva planta porque no era así cuando me la regalaron, era mucho mas grande y tenia como cuatro ramas con muchas hojas, pero después de un año con nosotros cuidándola como nos indicaron, de repente las hojas de esa planta se comenzaron a poner de un color amarillo y se fue poniendo sinceramente muy fea, hasta que llego un día mi esposa cuando ya se le habían caído las hojas que la corto al ras de la tierra del porrón.

Yo sinceramente no esperaba que volviera a retoñar, pero una semana después de eso, comenzó a salir un pequeño retoño y mi esposa y yo nos emocionamos, porque de verdad pensamos que ya estaba muerta, de hecho estuve a punto de botar el matero, por alguna razón no lo hice, mucho después me entere de las cosas que dicen sobre esta planta, no la tengo por supersticiones ni nada de eso, la tengo porque nos gusta y es muy bonita con sus hojas con ese verde tan vivo.

Por eso dije al principio espero poder tener algún día una casa para poder tener un jardín y sembrar flores de todos los colores, así como dice la canción de Wilfrido Vargas sencillo como un jardinero que vive de flor en flores Recogiendo las más bonita pa'l amor de mis amores

Zamioculcas

Since I was very young my mother instilled in me a love for plants, well actually for everything, but for plants she always told me that they are the oxygen of the world, I understood that many years later when they explained it to me in classes. I am sure that someday I will be able to have a house with a good land to be able to plant different plants, but as I live in an apartment it is usually a little complicated because of the space, there are people that their apartments look like a forest, but even though I like plants I don't like to have the apartment like a forest, but to each one with their tastes.

In the hallway before entering the apartment I have planted sunflowers and roses, but they have been stolen, the last thing I planted and I can still enjoy them, is some basil plants, and that because we like tomato sauce and that is a great ingredient for the sauces are great.

Now that little plant that is known as zamioculcas, was given to me by some friends who were leaving the country and decided to give it to me, what you see in the photo is a new plant because it was not like that when they gave it to me, it was much bigger and had about four branches with many leaves, But after a year with us taking care of it as we were instructed, suddenly the leaves of that plant began to turn yellow and it was getting very ugly, until one day my wife arrived when the leaves had already fallen off and cut it at the level of the soil of the pot.

I sincerely did not expect it to sprout again, but a week after that, a small sprout began to come out and my wife and I got excited, because we really thought it was already dead, in fact I was about to throw away the pot, for some reason I did not do it, much later I found out the things they say about this plant, I do not have it because of superstitions or anything like that, I have it because we like it and it is very beautiful with its leaves with that vivid green.

That's why I said at the beginning I hope one day I can have a house so I can have a garden and plant flowers of all colors, just like the song by Wilfrido Vargas simple as a gardener who lives from flower to flower picking the most beautiful ones for the love of my loves.
