On Saturday, I closed early at my shop because I wanted to go visit my cousins. They only come to Lagos once in a while to visit their parents and after they spend a week, they go back to their base which is eight hours away from Lagos.
This morning, my younger cousin was preparing for school as early as 5:00 am. He’s quite young but I was wondering why a young boy would have to prepare as early as 5:00 am and leave home as early as 6:00 am so he can go to school. I know it’s a good practice but is life supposed to be this hard?
That was what I started to think in my head. I started to think that people don’t even get to rest anymore.
Once a baby is able to walk, he or she begins schooling and these days, you don’t even need to be able to walk before you can go to school. Truly, school can be fun but trust me, it can be stressful as well so babies begin the stress after a year of enjoying their lives and that’s why some people even die young because all their lives have been about work, stress and just trying to live a better life.
It’s normal but it got me thinking a lot and after all these stress, some people still may not make it big. It isn’t their fault and this does not mean that they are lazy but they didn’t just make it despite the fact that they have worked so hard all their lives.
It even got me thinking about my life but I’m sure I will make it big and that’s what I say everyday of my life when I wake up but I started to feel dicey about the whole thing.
Immediately, I went to my playlist while I was thinking about the whole thing but remembered that I would love to post on Hive today.
I went to my spotify application and searched for a song. Today, I didn’t even need to stress myself or rack my brain about a song.

I remembered to play this song because this guy mentioned and sang about how much he has suffered in life to be where he is today. This song actually gave me a hope that I am going to make it big in life.
I didn’t even know when I stood up and started to dance and feel good.
I totally forgot that a few minutes ago, I was feeling sad because I was dicey about making it big.

Before I forget, I want to tell you all that I’m a big fan of Afro pop music and that’s what I want to share with you all. Even when you watch the video of this song, you will see where the artiste shot the video which was his previous hood where he was living.
If a man who came from a hood as dirty as this could make it big, I can make it big too. So, I kept on vibing to these two songs till I slept off and I finally woke up when it was time to leave.
Back then, there was nothing like a baby attending school if he or she is not upto 4 to 6 years but now, even a baby of 1year is enrolled in school. Lol 😂
