RE: Throwback Thursday - Andrea Bocelli Live - What An Experience!

I grew up in LA. Soon as I start a sentence like that I really try to censor myself cuz once I get to talking about who all I've seen, it sounds really braggy and I don't mean to be like that.

LOL, funnily enough, you mentioned this before :) haha

I wish I had something like that in my area lol, so many of these performers, I love seeing stuff like that but it usually comes with a long trip plus a lot of costs etc. That's why it was so great to be just 15 mins away from this concert. I loved it.

In Holland, it was usually a drive (or public transport) meaning you knew you'd be stuck in traffic or waiting in long lines, overcrowded trains, and busses, I didn't like these experiences much, therefore, I wasn't too big of a fan hunting for these type of shows at some point.

But it's cool you saw so many people, I think you mentioned this when I wrote a post about an Eminem song, it's starting to come back to me now.. (it's all coming back.. it's all coming back to me now.......) did you see her too? I know she also had a show in the Bellagio right?

Sort:

Eminem, yup. That's still the largest crowd I've seen to this day at a show.

I've only seen two music performances at Belagio. The first one was Andre and then about 6 or 7 years ago now, we saw Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett together there.

Lady Gaga must have been an experience as well!

What's the best performance you've seen? Best and worst?

I haven't been to too many concerts, to be honest, more festivals so more DJ performances that left me with good memories.

In terms of concerts, every one of them had something special. Heck, I even went to Dutch artist's concerts having a great time while I was into hardstyle festivals mostly, lol. Such a weird combination but the crowd and the overall atmosphere were so great.

I've seen Backstreetboys (don't lynch me, I was a teen lol) which was of course a great experience it being my first concert. I've been to two I think. I've seen No Doubt not long after which was great as well! Dutch singers, I don't even remember them all but some had great performance skills lol. Bryan Adams is the other one I saw in Budapest which was everything I expected it to be: great! What a raw voice that man has. Love it. Always did too. Andrea was a great highlight but so different than most concerts.

One I still hate missing is Puff Daddy and family, he was supposed to perform with A LOT of his rapper friends "his family" it was decades ago though, and he canceled it like 12 hours before the show we didn't know and arrived there without a show is there. Sucked! I think that could have been an amazing experience as well.

I didn't see many big artists that sing, unfortunately, I wish I had but it was a costly thing and without having a car, always depending on others it was hard. I've been to many festivals though, can't count them and so many memorable moments left a mark on my soul :)

Boring answer to you I guess, to who has seen it all, lol. But with seeing just a few, there were no failed ones, so there's that.

Not even. I haven't seen anyone you mentioned, wish I had. Closest I got to Backstreet Boys was Justin Timberlake but that's a totally different group.

That woulda pissed me off about Puff! Never seen him, either, but I'd boycott him after that. Like fuckin Ozzy Osborne, fuck him!

= }

I wish I'd seen Justin Timberlake though, I think he was quite the performer as well. So were the Backstreet Boys, they had great shows.

And never been to a Puff concert after that, I don't even like him anymore lol but the whole PD and family thing was going to be a HUGE crowd of these artists that either were or became famous later.

Shit happens :)
