Advanced Valve?
...what's that? If the work is mainly in Nuclear Power Plants, I guess it's a delicate kind of work?

The advanced class was more specific to control valves. They're used everywhere, but they're used a lot in nukes because of containment and all that because they can be operated remotely.

So, if I understood this correctly:
This field is about operating Valves, and reaching the advanced stage means you have the knowledge to operate Remote Control Valves which require more care.
...Right?

Plant operations operate the valves. It just means I can maintain and repair the valves. The valves aren't any more complex, it's just the actuators that are a little more complicated.

Is it because there are many of them in the Plant?
Also, thanks for bearing with my all amateur questions~ Have a !PIZZA

No problem! As long as you're intrested!
Yea, any large plant will have what they call a shutdown every once in awhile for maintenance. They'll shut down part or all of the plant and replace pipe, or valves, or make repairs.

They all have tons of valves in them, many of them being control valves, especially on critical parts of whatever process they're running, because the operators can open and close them from a central location instead of running all over the plant turning wheels.
