Sounds like a personal experience now. Taking an ex back is a dangerous game as it'll never be like it was. One of them will always carry the uncertainty in the back of their mind.
For me it is the easiest thing in the world not to think about previous experiences, but I honestly don't know a single person other than me with that 'ability'
