It depends, I don't deal much with GBP. But it shows that investors and government around the world are switching all, including major currencies for the dollar. Usually when things don't go well people turn to the United States as the safest place.

It can be a bad news for the United Kingsom because a lot of things they import are purchased with USD so everything will get much more expensive there. All imports from Asia, petrol, gas etc.

So people are moving to the USD as a safe haven.
Much more than it is now?

Will the dollar ever break?

Eventually every currency breaks. But the collapse of dollar means the largest and maybe longest economical crisis in history. Also very likely a complete change of monetary system.
