The website has a little bug that shows you can still claim LARYNX from the airdrop, but this is not correct and will be fixed.

Why does dlux and larynx not need hive engine and have their own mainnnet dex using regular hive? Did disregardfiat just prove hive engine lazy? Or is it convenience thing because dlux has to have uts own side chain and witnesses etc?
Dlux could be big if it had some Google sketchup

Both side chains have differences... I don't think you can compare them just like that. It's a bit more complex, in terms of what each can do (at least for now).
But I think in this case, Honeycomb technology is quickly adaptable and therefore can be easily customizable to support an airdrop claim system like this one.
Anyone can create their own token with honeycomb technology for a side-chain.

Hey guys, I completely forgot, the last claim was last month. What the website is showing is not correct. There is a bug there that will show you have claimable tokens... but they can't be claimed... because total 12 claims have elapsed.
