shouldnt need to connect a wallet to use a blockchain- posting keys as passwords worked fine for steemit for years no need to even have keychain really

That's not what my orginal text is referring to.

This is about some silly scams out there that try to lure people in with texts like: "They don't want you to know this, but..."

About the posting key thing.

There's still a lot that can be done only using the posting key. No need for a Keychain. The other one needed being the Active key.

But a lot of dApps move towards Keychain only support. Therefore at some point there's not much choice left.

The Hive Keychain App functions quite well, I think. There dApps though that do use wrong callbacks, opening my default Browser. That's were it still goes wrong.

Not the Keychain developers fault though.

Anyway, by now, having tried way too many different blockchains I'm overloaded with information and keeping track of all the associated private keys.

Time to finalize my choice I guess.

I can't understand here what's you talking about? Is it about any link provided by someone!!!!

It is some rubbish I come across a lot on Social Media. Some suggestive text to trick people in clicking on a link. Where next they get ripped off.

Recently I got a lot of these kind of responses to a Tweet of mine.

Totally out off context, the accounts look 'real' but they are there to rip people off. Each of those bot controlled accounts use a slightly different sentence in 'its' reply.

Main suggestion it tries to make is that it knows about getting rich. But to get there you have to click a url. And then the process of ripping you off starts.

Somebody is getting rich though, the one(s) controlling these bot accounts. That created the scam.

Often these scammers use images of Tesla and Elon Musk. Also news agencies and banks are being abused.

And of course the trigger text: "They do not want you to know this..."

Better stay away from that nonsense. 😉

Yes, i also see such kind of rubbish on social media, it's totally spam and sometimes by clicking the link we gave our data to them but i stay out of them because i know we can't win anything like this way
