Glimpse of islands in the sun - watercolors on paper

Hello everyone dear Hivers friends and welcome back to my blog. Today I am sharing my latest watercolor painting depicting a part of an island, Ventotene, belonging to the Pontine Islands group in Lazio. The sola is of volcanic origin, with its natural conformations, and I painted one in the distance, the better known island of Ponza. As you can see from the painting, I tried to give the island that typical conformation with indentations and different components of the rocks, and I enriched it with the classic violet shadows that the sun produces on them.

Scorcio di isole al sole - acquarelli su carta

Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e bentornati sul mio blog. Oggi condivido il mio ultimo dipinto ad acquarello che raffigura un parte di un isola, Ventotene, appartenente al gruppo delle isole Pontine, nel Lazio. L'sola è di orgine vulcanica, con le sue conformazioni naturali, e ne ho dipinta una in lontananza, l'isola di Ponza, più conosciuta. Come potete vedere dal quadro, ho cercato di dare all'isola quella conformazione tipica con frastagliature e differenti componenti delle rocce, e l'ho arricchita con le classiche ombre violette che il sole produce su di esse.
