Roman arch and flowers - watercolors on paper

Hello all dear Hivers friends and welcome back to my blog. Today I'm sharing a watercolor depicting an ancient foreshortening with a Roman type arch and bougainvillea that enhance the architecture with their vibrant colors.

I took great care in painting the vines with bright red flowers, I wanted a very intense color effect.

Then I went on to outline the shapes of the stones with cracks and shadows.

I hope you like my watercolor, I send you a hug as red as the vines.

Arco romano e fiori - acquarelli su carta

Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e bentornati sul mio blog. Oggi condivido un acquarello che raffigura un'antico scorcio con un arco di tipo romano e delle bouganville che esaltano le architetture con i loro colori vivaci. Ho messo molta cura nel dipingere i rampicanti dai fiori rosso accesi, volevo un effetto cromatico molto intenso. Poi sono passato a delineare le forme delle pietre con le fessure e le ombre. Spero che il mio acquarello vi piaccia, vi mando un abbraccio rosso come i rampicanti.
