The quality of light - oil on canvas

Hello all dear friends Hivers and welcome back to my blog. Today I am not sharing watercolors but my latest painting that I made in oil on canvas. It is a simple city scene where however I wanted to highlight the quality of light that modifies things, objects, and especially people.

As you know the compositional element of light in painting and photography is fundamental, in the syntax of the arts. In fact, light takes a decisive role in enhancing or diminishing the value of a form or a human figure.

In the painting I made, I included a strong white light that softens the harshness of shadows and contours to the point of becoming an object of value itself.

Strong light can zero in on objects in a street but it can make any human figure become poetry or mystery.

La qualità della luce - olio su tela

Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e ben tornati sul mio blog. Oggi non condivido acquarelli ma il mio ultimo dipinto che ho realizzato ad olio su tela. Si tratta di una semplice scena cittadina dove però ho voluto evidenziare la qualità della luce che modifica cose, oggetti, e soprattutto persone.

Come sapete l'elemento compositivo della luce nella pittura e nella fotografia è fondamentale, nella sintassi delle arti. Difatti la luce assume un ruolo determinante per esaltare o dimunire il valore di una forma o di una figura umana.

Nel dipinto che ho realizzato ho inserito una forte luce bianca che ammorbidisce la durezza delle ombre e dei contorni, fino a diventare essa stessa oggetto di valore.

La forte luce può azzerare gli oggetti in una strada ma può far diventare poesia o mistero una figura umana qualsiasi.
