Hello Friends, today I'd like to present to you "Color Riot", a kind of explosive abstract painting that celebrates the power and beauty of bold, vibrant colors. With a dominant background of reds and yellows, and a dynamic center mass of bold brushstrokes and combed-in white patterns, the composition is meant to create a sense of energy and movement.

I love how the brushstrokes and patterns almost seem to dance across the canvas, with a wild spectrum of hues that seem to clash and meld together in a riotous celebration of chromatic intensity. I had so much fun reveling in the expressive possibilities of my paints!

I like to think "Color Riot" turned into a regular celebration of the joy and power of color. Too bad you can't see it in person! An abstract painting simply doesn't work in the tiny confines of a photo posted on social media. Abstracts work best on large canvasses! The 40" x 20" of this painting are a minimum, owed to my tiny studio and limited space in the house to hang stuff...
 

 

Hallo Freunde, heute möchte ich euch "Color Riot" ("Aufstand der Farben") vorstellen, eine Art explosives abstraktes Gemälde, das die Kraft und Schönheit von kräftigen, leuchtenden Farben abfeiert. Mit einem dominanten Hintergrund aus Rot- und Gelbtönen und einem dynamischen Zentrum aus kräftigen Pinselstrichen und eingekämmten weißen Mustern soll die Komposition ein Gefühl von Energie und Bewegung vermitteln.

Ich liebe es, wie die Pinselstriche und Muster fast über die Leinwand zu tanzen scheinen, mit einem wilden Spektrum von Farbtönen, die aufeinander zu prallen scheinen und in einer ausgelassenen Party chromatischer Intensität miteinander verschmelzen. Es hat mir so viel Spaß gemacht, in den Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten meiner Farben zu schwelgen!

Ich denke, dass "Color Riot" zu einem regelrechten Fest der Freude und Kraft der Farben geworden ist. Schade, dass ihr das nicht persönlich sehen könnt! Ein abstraktes Gemälde funktioniert einfach nicht in den winzigen Grenzen eines Fotos, das auf Social Media gepostet wird. Es funktioniert am besten auf großer Leinwand! Die 100cm x 50cm dieses Gemäldes sind bereits ein Minimum, was meinem kleinen Atelier und dem begrenzten Platz im Haus zum Aufhängen von Bildern geschuldet ist...
