IT IS TAKING SHAPE 🥳
Hello dear friends,
I am progressing with my first wood sculpture 😅
I am still far from the result but I think I can get to it and I am already very curious if it will corrispond to my expectations 😊
The marks I traced with pencil are just to guide me better and will disappear when I continue to work on it....
STA PRENDENDO FORMA 🥳
Ciao cari amici,
It has already become more three-dimensional in the meantime and I am proceeding with the details....
I hope you like the development of my sculpture and thanks for following me 😍
Grazie mille carissima, ti devo deludere... continueró 🤣 Hai in mente quando hai in testa qualcosa di ben preciso 👻
Wow! It is so beautiful!!
Thank you so much 🤗
😘
I’m just trying to wonder how you developed interest for sculptures
It’s a beautiful thing and this one looks good
If your first attempt can be like this, you’d get better with time
This actually look like a real face with some scars
I love this!
Making these things from wood and stone is much more difficult, takes a lot of time, and requires a lot of effort. You have made it beautifully and I think it is very good.

I'd say be more daring in your approach, think more surreal, and work with the flaws in the wood to guide you. Let Hans Bellmer dolls inspire you, for example. There are fragmentations by the nature of this piece of wood that suggest a development you may also find in Picasso's cubist portraits. As Michelangelo once said 'trapped in each piece is a image, it is up to the artist to set it free'.
Think also about the legend of Daphne. It may inspire you to another level of etheral, otherwordly content.
Another suggestion, or also in combination with the above, research the Japanese art of Kintsugi. A variation of this approach may also be useful to work with the flaws in the wood.
