Hi there, welcome back to The Best of Discovery-it! All the best posts voted by the Discovery-it curator team will have their own dedicated space within the Hive blockchain. This digest intends to bring to light all those authors who often remain unnoticed and therefore reward all those who create quality posts, leading them to establish themselves on the platform. But that's not all!
After a careful selection, our curators will also choose the most deserving articles among all those voted to create a ranking of the Top posts of the day.
So who are today's winners?

El martín pescador común o kingfisher

by @divadstrokes

The common kingfisher is the protagonist of today’s artwork by divadstrokes. It’s a bird that lives in Europe, South America, Africa and Asia and its basic diet is made up of small fish that he can see from the low branches of trees or bushes. “I have seen videos of how this bird hunts, I must say that it is very skilled at diving into the water and catching its prey. If you have the opportunity to see a video, do it, it is a very beautiful bird and its colors are very vivid when it opens its wings” the author told us. In the post you can also appreciate all the steps of the creative process.

Star Light - Devils Bridge Light Painting

by @gunnarheilmann

The photographer gunnarheilmann never ceases to amaze us and, in today’s post, you can find some amazing shots taken with the technique of lightpainting. The setting is simply magical: the Rakotz bridge in Germany. “This photograph meant a lot of running for me: first light up the left side of the lake, then run over to the left and shine the light to the right. After that, I ran all the way to the bridge and light that up. This is in total a 3km run around the lake within the actual exposure time before” the photographer said. Read the post to find out more about the concept!
