Hello Hive people, today we decided to bring you the case of @silviared945, a very well-known author on the platform.
Our suspicions obviously arise from the ease with which the user was able to approach the platform, this shows that it was not the first time she tried to use Hive.
Let's get to us, in these two posts you will notice the first discrepancy. In the first she states that she comes from Florence, while in the second she states that she comes from Rome, this even if it may seem little, for those who observe the Hive every day is already an alarm regarding identity theft.

Moving forward the most obvious thing to do was to ask for a verification through the @hivewatchers service, so as to see the possible response of the user.
She responds that social networks are full of hate and that she only participates on Hive.
Obviously I was already aware of the existence of the real profiles of the author Silvia.

I think this is the longest-running identity theft case I've seen. Thanks for exposing it, I'm even ashamed I thought it was someone honest. x)
You should never feel guilty, good faith comes first. Unfortunately there are those who take advantage of this

The user is likely trying to find a way to cash out rewards and then power down.

Oh no I followed her because she share many places in my region , well it's a little bit weird not having a social media nowadays especially for an artist. 🥲 By the way I never thought she was an identity theft she was pretty popular and her posts had always many votes.
I exchanged some comments with her and now I find out it was all fake?

Along the years I spent here I've seen a lot of similar case of false identity and, to be honest, it makes me feel very very hungry. Some months ago I read one of her (or his?) content about a small village in the region where I live and I think it was nice to see another user from an area close to mine (I live in Pistoia, close to Florence), but reading some of her (or his) contents I had some doubts. The way she(he) wrote sounded different from the way people who lives here usually uses to talk and write, I can't explain it in a better way. I thought she was a girl who came here from another country, but I couldn't imagine she was a false identity. So bad! She (he) uses pics and others by another person to make money in a fraudolent way, it makes me feel really really hungry!
