Bellow you can see people working in my local village and the work they do is in public interest like cleaning ditches and painting trees, small bridges, and road curbs white. You could say this would be standard, like for a Spring cleaning. Actually, not really, this year everything is more intense in every village, town, or city where you go, it's ELECTION year. Potholes in the road which were ignored for almost 4 years in a row, for sure are getting fixed this year.

Isn't it interesting how this works? We've got similar situations in our country, but it is all tied to the fact that it is indeed, election year. Too bad they can't keep things going through the non-election years.
I have found that generally, when people are given evaluations, that the person writing them really only review the last 90 or so days to base the review on. I'm thinking the governments think the same about the general populace; that they won't remember their shortcomings IF they work on fixing things now. Sad really.......
