How I Overcome Wasted Efforts Daily: It Can Be Done By Anyone

in Actifit8 months ago

Hey everyone here. Good day to you all. It is really nice being here in active mode.
I would love to share with you all how I make my days productive even with tendencies of challenging situations.

Do you find yourself doing many things in a day but end up achieving little, or worse still nothing after each day comes to a close? You are not alone. Truth is, it can happen to anyone. Our days are not always the same: some days can go well while some can go really wrong depending on circumstances and how much control we have for each day.

Some days can still go wrong even with our good plans and strategies - It has happened to me severally. Truth is we do not always have the right answers as to why some of our days can go against as planned. It can be minimized though.

Here are some tips you would need to greatly reduce the chance of ending up unproductive in your daily activities. They have been of great help to me.

I Put My Plans For Each Day In To Writing (Crystallizing your thoughts)

This may sound so trivial but it's the real deal, as long as your productivity for each day is a priority. I have discovered that merely having a mental picture of your daily activities is not effective enough to stir one up in to action. Our minds can be overwhelmed sometimes, and we can forget things with time.

Writing down your plans helps crystallize your thoughts in to something tangible, something you can see, feel, and refer to anytime. It has a way of affecting your mind towards producing what is seen. You can type your plans on your phone and make it your screen saver, so that whenever you unlock your phone, it is the first thing you see. This helps create a sense of responsibility in you. It reminds you of what is expected of you to make your day worthwhile.

I Time Every Activity (Taking advantage of deadlines)

This may look too engaging and tasking, while to some, it may look too simple to consider, but truth is, it will save you a lot of mismanagement of time.

How I do mine is that I simply allot the time I feel is reasonable enough for a task and try not to exceed it (even though I sometimes do, which is still okay), especially if the task is totally under my control. Timing helps create a sense of urgency of a task. It creates the consciousness of the need to avoid carrying over a task. It puts me to work under the needed pressure to deliver before going for the next task.

I become conscious of lateness (which is enough bad thing for me to avoid) whenever I have a deadline to meet for a particular task.

I Create Flexible Daily Schedules With A Touch Of Varieties

Gone are times when I used to set rigid daily activities without an option for necessary change. I used to start my day with a fixed expectation of my activities, but I later realized that a failure in any task always got to me because I made no room for possible changes before time.

Now, I always have alternatives for my daily tasks. For instance, if I planned going to the bank to make some transactions, I would go with a book I could read peradventure I met a long queue of people at the bank. If I was to go out with a friend on an important task, I would have a spare activity I love doing, like writing (I would go with my pen and paper), or I might better still go through my mails for the day. By so doing, you will hardly find yourself being unproductive even when disappointments come. You would always have some other productive activities to fall back on.

I Sometimes Delegate Activities

This is another powerful way of utilizing one's day. It comes handy especially when there is a lot of activities to be done for the day. When I was in school, there were registrations some of my friends helped me did. There is no need two of you going to do something that one person can do.

Your friends can help you with your task if they are doing similar thing with you. Take for instance, if a friend is going same direction as you, and you have a mail to deliver, it will be wise to give him the mail to help you deliver it as he goes for his own task. Sometimes, it may require you paying some money for other people's services - if it is worth it, why not?

Always look out for opportunities that will help your save time and effort. This will make your day super productive.

A Task At A Time

This is the core part of maintaining a productive day. Most people think they have so much to do that they don't see the need of consciously taking things step by step - it is a waste of time to them. Many times, we see multitasking as the way forward, but truth is, it is better to complete some of your daily tasks with some of them unattended to, than for you to touch every task without being able to point out one thing you did well and complete. The goal is to completely execute activities, not leaving them half way. A few task well done is better than many tasks partly done.

I hope you find these tips useful.
