My son and I jumped into a disc golf round first thing in the morning today. It was an eighteen basket round out at our favorite course.
Someone was in a bit of a hurry so I slammed down breakfast and chugged my coffee on the way to the disc golf course. I rushed out of the car and crushed a disc down near the basket in birdie range... Taking careful aim... Just missed the putt but made the come backer.
My son was off to a rough start too. He missed a lot of putts. We commiserated on hole three and I complained, "I haven't made a decent putt all round so far."
With that the coffee jitters set in and my hand twitched over to the right flinging the putter way off course. Another birdie missed. Getting a bit miffed I flung the disc back at the basket and missed... Dropped it into the basket in a bad sort of mood... It missed sliding down the chains and rolling off the edge of the basket. Turning a birdie attempt into a double bogey.
At that point I figured I had best work on my mental game. I got back in the game a few holes later after taking a couple of bogeys on the next two holes. (My mental game takes a few holes to recover if things get bad enough, lol.)
After that I started doing better and joked around with my son about needing the "Putting Fairy" to come by and wave her magic wand on me. It really helps me to visualize something happy or funny to start playing better. I don't think my son was very amused by the Putting Fairy.
Anyhow... I got back on track and won the round with a +1 score. Neither of us did really well though.
I think I do a lot better if I warm up a bit and do some movements before playing. Slamming down coffee and playing doesn't seem to be beneficial either.
Out on the disc golf course today, you can almost visualize the putting fairy flying along with her magic wand:

I hope everyone is having a wonderful time out there and happy with the wild crypto ride we are experiencing. I'm thinking it might have something to do with El Salvador making Bitcoin legal tender Sept 7. Whatever it is, things are looking good.

Your first failure is an example to throw the best for the future.
The important thing is not to despair when failure comes.
Always trying it will make perfect results, keep the spirit mate.
You recreate this image interestingly.
I does really help not to despair and keep yourself in a good mental game. So much of disc golf is all about how well you can recover from a missed throw. Sometimes you do everything almost right but the disc rolls away into a really tough spot. It seems like there is a bit of luck involved especially when you are not as skilled as some people.
Thank you for the feedback.
