It was one of those cold, damp, and misty mornings that seemed to seep straight into my bones. A short morning walk helped shake off some of the sluggishness, and I felt better, though not fully back to myself. Rest and recovery were still on the agenda for the day. Since this morning looked more dreary than delightful, I dug up a photo from another morning to lift the mood: a glorious sunrise at the Großer Stern. The Victory Column stood proud in the foreground, with the Fernsehturm peeking through the hazy glow in the distance. It was a moment worth savoring, a snapshot of serenity that reminded me of nicer mornings. Sometimes, it’s the memory of such beauty that keeps us going when the present feels less than kind.
