It’s hard to believe that just a few days ago, temperatures were about 10 degrees lower. Winter, it seems, has taken a back seat this year. Still, there was a brief glimpse of sunshine today, a welcome surprise. I decided to take a stroll through the Palace Gardens this morning, soaking in the peace before picking up a few things at the supermarket on my way back. The photo I shot of a tree stump could easily pass for a “guess the age” challenge. It's a fun game, though the true magic lies in how time is etched into the rings. As I stood there, I couldn't help but lose myself in the intricate patterns, the way each circle told a different story. I spent a few minutes breathing deeply, using the rings to focus my thoughts. It’s funny how something as simple as a tree stump can become a meditation tool, drawing me into the present moment. There’s a certain stillness in nature that you can’t replicate anywhere else.
