Hello everyone π,
Happy hump day ππ and a very warm welcome to my world π. It's been another wonderful and active day, the 3rd of April. Time has really flown and as the day draws to a close, am raring to go with my stepping activities for the day and some of the trending stories. As always thank you for reading and let's dive in π¨.
So as usual I had two main walking sessions. First was the fast paced morning session, brisk walking and jogging around the neighbourhoodπ². It was a warm sunny π morning as I made my way. After the morning walk I had some household chores then later in the afternoon a little bit of walking at the park. It was a little cloudy but I enjoyed the walk
I squeezed in my usual afternoon nap and then later in the evening I had the usual sunset walk sunset π, slow paced enjoying the cool evening breezeπ .
So what's been trending in the media streets? Locally, the usual political shenanigans πΉ kept going. The doctors' strike is still on as they demand better pay.
In Gaza, several aid agencies are forced to limit operations in fear Israeli air strikesπ. This after that deliberate attack on world central kitchen (WCK) workers that killed 7 of themπΏ.
The UN will also limit aid movements at night. This means that the Palestinians will continue to suffer as the amount of food reaching them will be highly limitedπΏ.
Meanwhile, Israeli air defence reservists have been recalled to their bases 2 days after that attack on Iranian embassy in Damascusπ. Seems they are taking precaution against a retaliatory attack from IranπΉ.
Let's go to Europe, NATO members were meeting in Brussels discussing long-term military support for Ukraine. A $107 billion five years aid fund will be set up as the war enters the 3rd year.
Turkey trending as the new mayor of the town of Van was reinstated after wild protestsπΉ. He had been deemed ineligible for office, but the people voted him in.
Across the pond in the US, president Biden hosted an event to highlight efforts to cut cost of prescription drugs. Americans typically pay up to 20 times more for prescription drugs than in some European countriesπ.
Finally, a strong 7.2 magnitude earthquake has hit TaiwanπΏ. It caused building collapses, landslides and power outages across the island. Rescue operations ongoing. Japan and the Philippines on tsunami watch too.All will be wellπ―.
So that's all I got, let's touch base again tomorrow on an amazing throwback Thursday βΊοΈ. Stay safe, take care and good bye πππ Hakuna Matata π.
