Hello everyone π,
Happy Thursday π and a very warm welcome to my report π.I've had just another ordinary day stepping it out and as bedtime beckons, it's time to quickly take a look at how my day has been plus some of the trending stories I came across. As always thank you for reading and let's take it away π¨.
So I kicked off the day with some brisk walking π£ and jogging around the neighbourhood π². A cloudy day but with some beautiful morning breeze π. Then I was back indoors for some resting, a little bit of daily chores and catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the city centre for some errands. As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news, reading a few stuff before bedtime. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept goingπΉ, a rather quiet day though.
Globally, another devastating day in Gaza as several Palestinians killed as Israeli airstrikes targeted parts of central Gaza and Rafa in the southπΏ.
The total death toll announced as 33,545 and over 76,000 injuredπ.
A shocking incident as UNICEF's vehicles were hit with live ammunition as they entered northern Gazaπ.
Meanwhile, demonstrators in Tel Aviv have called for immediate prisoner swap deal with Hamas so as to safely bring their loved ones back home.
In the other war, Russia has kept its attacks on Ukraine's energy facilities goingπ. A key power plant near Kyiv totally destroyed and can no longer generate powerπΏ. Meanwhile, $60 billion dollars worth of military aid is stuck in US as congress has delayed approval.
Speaking of the US, OJ Simpson, the NFL star cleared in 'trial of the century' had died aged 76. He was controversially acquitted of the murder of his wife and friend in 1995π. Many people believe he did it since no one else was ever convicted of that crime.
Mr. Simpson had served nine years of a 33-year sentence for kidnapping and armed robbery unconnected to the death of his ex-wife before he was released in October 2017.
In crypto news, the SEC has decided to sue Uniswap, the largest decentralized exchangeπ. Many analysts warning that a war on crypto is a war on the internet. Many speculating the fight will take years and may go all the way to the supreme court.
Let's go to Asia, a Vietnamese billionaire has been sentenced to death for $44 billion fraud. Truong My Lan, 67yrs old, started life as a market trader. Now she has been convicted of stealing billionsπ.
