Happy Monday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. It's another 24 hours to be grateful for, we are on to a new week and I have had a great day. It's now that time to slow down and fill you in on how my day has been including some of the trending stories that caught my eye. As always thank you for reading and let's get it done 💨.
So I had two major walks, starting off early with fast paced morning session. I brisk walked around the neighbourhood. At least today the sun was out on a beautiful Monday morning with an amazing fresh breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores. later in the afternoon, I stopped by the shopping center then was back home for some cooking followed by the usual nap. In between I did check out some trending news and watched some youtube and X which I will share next. Finally I finished off the day with the slow paced evening walk in the cool breeze.
So what's been trending. Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹, kept going, that night rain is back on, cats n dogs, I feel it on the windows and roof. Cant wait to get into bed.
Globally, another horrendous day unfolded in Gaza yet again. Israel has intensified airstrikes in the south and central areas of Gaza. 24 people killed in the last 24 hours😿.
The total death toll stands at 34,151😭 since October 7.
In Israel, the chief of security has resigned following that Hamas attack of October 7 last year that killed 1,139 people 🙀. Hamas caught Israel flat footed, the chief of security has recognized the failure of intelligence.
PM Netanyahu's critics have said that he too should resign🙀. Instead of prolonging the war for political gains. The war has been on for close to six months.
In Europe, UK trending as PM Rishi Sunak has insisted flights removing illegal migrants will start in ten to 12 weeks.
Anybody arriving in the UK by small boat ⛵ will be removed to Rwanda and even if their asylum is successful they will still remain in Rwanda 🙀. He said it will keep happening until the small boats stop arriving at the english channel.
Across the pond in the US, trump's defence have made an opening statement in the hush money trial. A historic case given that no former president has ever been charged with a criminal offence🙀.
Let's see how it goes, it's gonna go on for at least six weeks. Also let's wait to see if Trump takes the stand 😹.
Also trending, dozens have been arrested during pro Palestinian demonstrations at Columbia university🙀. Last week police raided the campus and dispersed camping students.
All classes moved online as the tension continues.
Finally, back to the UK, the spice girls reunited; all five members of the group performed Stop at Victoria Beckham's 50th birthday party in London. Nice💯.
