I was thinking about the potential high winds as I was hiking today, looking up at the tree canopy……….😮
Many dangerous trees in the forest!
Keith is vacationing in California, and his excavator is parked at the trailhead of the “Floor Trail”.
I’m sure he won’t mind Silvertop using one of his “Big Boy Toy’s!

I climbed over several fallen trees, as I hiked higher up the mountain.
Far below you can see Keith’s excavator, in the third to last photo.
Silvertop checked his watch…………….
4:30 PM………..
I was too deep into the forest, it will be dark in thirty minutes, and it will take me 45 minutes to get home!
That’s a wrap for today, I better write my post before that storm hits!😊

Widow makers?!?🤔 Oh well, I wonder why. Better be safe when there's warning like that, Mr.Silvertop.🙂
They call these widowmakers because they can fall quickly in the forest without notice. They are very unstable because of shallow roots!😬
Oh ok. Interesting info. Better stay away from them when it's windy then. Looks like the wind can easily uproot the tree.
I will definitely be careful the wind is starting to pick up as I type this!😲
