My Actifit Report Card and Updated: July 24 2024

in Actifit2 months ago (edited)

Hi Everyone,

I’ve had a busy week with the Economics Challenge Series. I posted three challenges in under a week. These were the Game Theory, Pick-a-Door, and Complements and Substitutes challenges. The number of participants are down substantially from previous years. This is a little disappointing. I think my lack of promotion of the challenge series might have had something to do with this turnout. I think the Sapien Loop quizzes may have lost me some participants too. It seems like they attract a different audience than the economic contests. I was hoping they would expand my audience, but it looks like they have had the opposite effect. Looks like I need to figure out how to get my channel back on track.

The Game Theory challenge relies on participants to out manoeuvre each other with their selection of boxes. The challenge’s usual win conditions could mean participants could be trying to obtain the highest or lowest combined value of boxes. This challenge is one of the most unpredictable challenges in the series.

Pick-a-Door challenge requires participants to open up to 4 doors. Each door may have a dollar value behind it. The higher the value, the lower the probability that the value will be there. Participants are only allowed to open one door with no value behind it. Opening more, results in elimination. Participants need to balance payoff and risk.

Complements and Substitutes challenge requires participants to understand the relationship between different types of goods. Some compete and some complement each other.

The participants are required to price pies, cakes, and coffee to maximise profits. The challenge also contains information about costs. The most challenging aspect is to price all the items in a manner that can achieve a high profit. Coffee would be the best item to target first.

Biden Out

The US Presidential Election is becoming stranger by the week. Joe Biden has finally dropped out of the race. This was expected. What’s more surprising is that it took this long. The claimed replacement is the current Vice President, Kamala Harris. This has not been finalised.

The weird part is how Joe Biden dropped out. It was by an unofficial letter shared to X. Joe Biden did not make a statement nor was seen at all. His signature looked forged. That was followed up by a fake sounding call to one of Harris’ meetings. It looks like a deliberate attempt to encourage people to follow conspiracy theories relating to Biden’s health and even an attempted soft coup.

I think this is a trap. When it is revealed Biden is alive and willingly stepped aside. The Democrats will point the finger at people supporting these conspiracies and label them as dangerous. This will also give them grounds to dismiss accusations that the Trump assassination was an inside job.

It’s quite an interesting move. I consider it a new spin on the 'Smoke and Mirrors' strategy. I think it could be quite effective. I think we might see this strategy play out more in the future. Actions are used to incite reactions. The intended reaction was for people to jump to conspiracy theories. That had been achieved. Real conspiracies are far better covered up. I wrote a post in 2018 that describes similar such tactics. Remember, the world is played like a game.

That wraps up today’s Actifit Report and Update. I strongly recommend that you enter my challenge Series. All three challenges are still running. I wish everyone a great week, I’ll be back soon.

The feelings about this election considering the US economy is erratic too.
I wonder about Biden's dropping out and the odds of Kamala, although low might be higher than Biden.
Would the US be ready for a woman to rule?

Didn't know that Trump's assassination was still being debated on being real or staged😂

I don't think the debate will ever end. I'm pretty convinced it was a genuine attempt on his life. The more important question is who was behind the attempt.

Hmmm well that'll be something quite hard to figure out...

He was hated by everybody 😂😂😂

Biden’s exit and the call’s oddities add to the already dramatic politics Wondering how this affects public trust though.

The US election is certainly getting tougher as day goes by and I am so sure and certain that it actually looks like trump is on his way to become the US president

This election is really diverting to a different direction as Trump's assassination attempt have a lot behind it.
