Good evening and happy weekend to everyone,
It's been raining all day and the weather very cold, I didn't really want to get out of bed lol 😆 but had an important meeting today. Owing to the current economic situation in the country, one of the youth forums organized a symposium to discuss how the different challenges they are facing and what could be done to curtail the burden.
Many who where given the opportunity to speak offered meaningful suggestions and advice which I believe would help a long way if all the stakeholders put their hands on deck forthwith. I didn't wait till the end of the meeting, rushed back home to be with the family because today is my day. I made reference to it yesterday. This month is special and remarkable in my life.
Why?
The month of my birth (August 12)
The month my legs touched the soil of Mali for the first time (August 11)
The month I began to walk again with my two legs after recovering from an operation due to a fatal accident that almost took my life (August 15)
The month I joined steemit (August 4)
Though I wasn't active, I've been on the proof of brain platform since 2017, just a year after I started investing in crypto.
I am grateful to God who has taken me this far in life. I am not the best, not perfect, rather a work in progress, always willing to learn, improve and affect lives positively wherever I find myself.
The saying that "no man is an Highland is very true". No one can succeed in life without the help of someone directly or in directly. This is why I can't forget those people who stood by me through thick and thin all these years. Some of them are still alive while some are no more. Their advice, encouragement, prayers, support and unconditional love were never in vain. I appreciate them from the bottom of my heart.
There was no formal celebration, just dancing and thanksgiving with my immediate family. However, we have fixed a date to celebrate not just my birthday, but all the beautiful things we have experienced this season.
